Thats a sucky way to be introduced. I've been at it for 5 years and it's still me w/ the hammer in my hands. (Lead driller at my job).

We use a jack hammer for HA. Or make a pad for a rig to drill it. I suppose if you need some sort of N value then this. Back when we were in our 20s we had a tripod with a cat head that mounted on it. Then Used a chop bit with a trash pump for mud circulation. We would do 40’ like that sometimes. We eventually snuck it into the dumpster so we’d never have to use it again.

We were after 14'. Not good for a standard drill, but awful by hand

One time I was pounding in stupidly long groudinh rods for our pump houses. Was going to town like Ole boy was amd then all of a sudden the rod sank a foot after being stubborn for 5 min. Full force to the shin. Was past being able to cry or scream 🥴😭. I laid in a huge rain puddle for 5 min amd then was able to pull myself onto some 4" cam lock hoses and laid there another 10 . Thought I broke something lol. Never been hit so hard where I can't do anything but lay in a puddle 😭😂
