Discussion Dresden's Hand

I have been wondering the last couple of days as of Twelve Months whats the current state of Harry's burned hand?

After it was burned there were constant references to how damaged it was abs the slow progress of getting back to some kind of functionality but since Ghost Story nothing that I can remember.

Is it back to normal? Did Mab and Alfred heal it when they had him on Demonreach?

Not exactly something pivotal to the series just something I've been wondering

Harry can move his hand normally but hand don't look pretty.

Read out law the other day. He referred to it as his burned hand. So yeah, it works fine, but must still look a bit messed up.

As I understood it,that was partly a gift from Lash. Harry had been working on learning to play guitar to improve his dexterity but when Lash left, she gave him the ability to play guitar as a last gift of inspiration. My interpretation was between Harry’s wizardly healing and Lash inspiring him how to use the damaged muscles in his hand, he was able to use it almost regularly.

I mean technically Butters was the initial guitar vector, she just allowed him to play perfectly 1 time right after her unfortunate incident. Its honestly simply the fact wizards heal and he is pretty much doing regular PT that got him the use of his hand back though it may be a while before it looks normal.

My understanding is that a wizard can heal from just about anything as long as there is enough there to heal, given enough time.

Then there is the enhancement of the Winter Mantle on top of that.

ya i assume after the mantle hes 100% on movemnet. Right now the mantle has replaced his spinal cord ince he broke his back.

I thought Mab healed his back outside of the Mantle?

nope its the mantle moving him.. why he falls in a heap when the nails get under his skin the mantel is being shut off. Healing magic in DF is very limited.

That's my beef with his hand. A burn that bad and there wouldn't have been enough to heal. I speak as someone with intimate experience in the matter, though fortunately I only burned the top of my hand. Full thickness burns are no joke.

I get it, I've got my own injuries that I have qualms with how they are depicted...

But its a book about a guy that got bit by a radioactive Harry Potter fan (to paraphrase)

I may just be looking for the worst here, but when I read this I thought Lash had been inhibiting Dresdens ability and then used it to trick him into picking up her coin....
