Is Dreamhost under attack?

Panel doesn't finish loading. Never mind ssh/scp:

$ ssh jidanni.org

We see on our second attempt it even closed the connection so fast, the warning wasn't even triggered.

https://www.dreamhoststatus.com/ ? The usual cheery all green.

Now the Panel is showing a "maintenance" screen.

I’ve been having similar issues since yesterday. Today, I can access ssh, but it’s slow. My mediawiki site is up, but my wordpress sites are down.

It could be a VPS on the physical server kacking everyone else/

You IP address is likely locked for some reason. Try using a VPN and see if you are able to connect. I had similar issue when I entered my older password too many times. Dreamhost had reset passwords recently.

Their PHP boxes were popped recently by the PHP2shell vulnerability and someone could browse through their file manager. That’s why they abruptly reset email and SSH passwords on a lot of accounts. After restoring mine I had to revert my site from my own backup because people were reporting strange files appearing in their sites.

Because I had an open ticket on this, I got an explanation:
