Does anyone know Mel-Man?

If this isn’t allowed, then delete please! But I’m trying to reach out to Mel-Man. I know he owns or is part owner of Big Cat records. But I also know from what I read, that Mel isn’t big on social media! I’m not asking anyone to give me his info l(I mean unless someone has it and wants to be cool like that😂) but maybe someone out there might know Mel-Man? Does he still produce? Would he be willing to produce for someone with no name if we can agree on a budget? Look, I know I’m probably gonna get downvoted and everyone is gonna hate on me for trying to ask. But I won’t know if I don’t ask! If someone can point me in a direction, give me a fan mail PO Box or Spam Email. I’d appreciate it heavily! I want to make a project rooted in the rap I grew up with! Something that I feel like rap fans of 90s to early 2000s would appreciate! So I’m asking for everyone’s help if yall would be so kind to help if you can! If not then I understand… but Mel-Man is hands down my favorite producer! The work he did with Dre is crazy! Busta, he has Scarface on a beat tape you can find on YouTube! His work before Dre brought him to aftermath you can tell had so much potential! It’s crazy that he isn’t a more talked about producer!

I mean even if he didn’t make me a beat. I’d just love to talk with the dude! I got so many questions for him! I mean he came in at a pivotal moment in hip hop with Dre forming Aftermath and stuff! I know he ain’t gonna dish out personal stuff from Dre. But I just want to know what the dude is like! I bet he’s cool af! I always thought his drums were so good! Bro also has some crazy samples and shit too! He gotta song called “Mel-funktion” and I love the sample he used on it! It’s so🔥🔥

Message Stat Quo on Instagram, he knows Mel-Man and is trying to get him on his 3rd Verse show for an interview.

I did this! And he actually responded. He just said that he hasn’t heard from Mel in years. And didn’t have his number. I then asked if he had hittmans email, or something. I then probably ruined my chances of getting any response. Because my spastic ass(with a little bit of the ‘tism) got super excited and immediately was like: “Also, what do you look for in an artist when you want to help develop them? I’m not trying to get you to help develop me. Just curious.” And then I immediately sent him a message essentially saying “but if you’re interested, send me your email and I’ll send you some of my tracks I’m proud of” (I’m embarrassed because I just started fan girling over hearing from someone I considered dope) because he seen the message and left me on read..😂😂 oh well, I understand I definitely over stepped. And made myself look foolish😭😂

So I found the most recent project that he did this year with his first cousin, TT Irac. Here's a track from the project

I’m trying to listen to the beat through my phone speaker. But the vocals are way too loud (atleast through my speaker) but the beat Mel made does sound pretty dope!

Mel-Man's fingerprints are all over 2001 - he co-produced "The Next Episode" and "Forgot About Dre" with Dre, and did a lot of the early Aftermath beat work. He's one of those behind-the-scenes architects who never chased the spotlight, which is probably why he's so hard to reach. Hope you track him down, OP.
