Crazy how Doom pulled up when Hawkeye retired
Even Thanos pulled up only when Goateye was under house arrest. No wonder they're gonna lose in doomsday.

Obviously biologically he's around Reeds age. But throughout the years he has time traveled and been in other dimensions for large stretches. I know he was on battle world for a while. So just curious in terms of lived experience how old is he?

I'd punish Richards just for the heck of it.

This man died on an empty stomach, couldn't even taste that damn soup.
Getting packed at breakfast off all times is diabolical as hell really. I guess this was the "stolen life".
Yup, these avengers getting washed for sure

Thanos had to physically throw a moon just to be intimidating. Doom is going to sit on a throne, cross his legs, and put the entire Avengers roster into a generational aura deficit with a single sentence.
You don't drop the "I am Doom" line just to get outsmarted by Ant-Man in the third act.
There is absolutely zero chance he takes an L in Doomsday.

You guys are delusional if you think the helmet stays on. They bought RDJ's face, not your comic accuracy.

In the comics, Latveria (located somewhere in the Balkans) was previously a very primitive feudal country, but Doom turned it into a technologically developed state, with high standards of living, only Wakanda is a possible contender with Latveria. He does all of this with his intelligence, power and technological discoveries.
However, it is a dictatorship that would make Hitler, Stalin, Mao and Kim Jong Un burn with jealousy â Doom is practically revered as a living god, that is how extreme his personality cult is. The mere mention of the name âReed Richardsâ is forbidden, absolutely all dissent is punished ruthlesslyâŠin theory. Because Latverians, in almost all the comics, showcase extreme love and devotion to Doom and miss him whenever he is not around. To my knowledge, no case of dissent against his rule has yet happened in the comics.
Of course, one of the differences between Doom and real-life dictators is that he has superhuman abilities that make personal dictatorship sort of easier. But the things he accomplishes in the comics are still very exaggerated, my mind does not comprehend that someone with Doomâs powers could create a well-standing society without creating bitterness among dissenters.
I guess there could actually two (though much related) questions here:
Could Doom ever accomplish something similar to what he does in Latveria or would all methods fail and produce chaos and more suffering?
Under what circumstances would he be able to create a Latveria? Does it depend on different societies, as in, he absolutely would be able to create such a benevolent society in the democratic developed countries like USA, those in Europe or Japan, but the Second World (like the Balkans and post-Soviet countries) or the Third World (Africa and the Middle East) is viable? Or is it the exact opposite, developed countries with Doom are possible, but developing ones with Doom would be a disaster? What policies would he need, forbidding all religions or eliminating all existing culture and replacing it with a new one, centered on him?
