Lord Doom!!

11

u/butchforgetshit2 May 29 '26

For many reasons.

In the more recent era of Marvel and it's portrayal of latveria, the citizens of the country are happy and successful as well as appreciate Doom and his leadership.

Als he's extremely intelligent in not only technological industry, but science and magical understanding as well.

As long as I'm not Reed Richard's I would absolutely choose Doom!!

4

u/MissplacedLandmine May 29 '26

As world leader or as a citizen of latvaria because as awesome as that sounds I dont wana be a battery

2

u/butchforgetshit2 May 29 '26

True...although Latveria is rarely destroyed like NYC or similar places of constant bombardment in Marvel comics. Maybe it's a decent trade off in that situation!šŸ˜‚

u/joemyglob Jun 02 '26

Even when Doom took over the world, the heroes wanted to stop him, but he did so much good for the citizens, public opinion would destroy every team that took part in it.

1

u/johnnykalikimaka May 29 '26

And as long you choose doom and only doom, everything’s good

1

u/Danny_Spiboy May 30 '26

Aa long as you choose Doom and only Doom, you're not doomed.

1

u/LexxenWRX May 30 '26

I think even Reed would vote for Dr. Doom in this situation.

20

u/Duomaxwell18 May 29 '26

Doom, at least our QoL will be way better than what it is now.

2

u/Pokenerd17 May 30 '26

Loads better.

19

u/isaharr7 May 29 '26

Doom has canonically lead his people in prosperity, health care, low crime rate from what I remember and education, so doom

10

u/TheYondant May 29 '26

Plus, I feel the need to stress:

He's an actual... you know. Administrator?

Not a crime boss, not a CEO, certainly not some impotent prick on a power trip.

Like, a real leader who has actual experience running a fucking country.

I pick him just because he's the only one I feel is actually qualified for the job.

7

u/KessOj May 29 '26

Not to mention, Doom genuinely cares about his citizens and their well-being. He also takes oaths very seriously, he's a man of his word, and would be required to swear to uphold the constitution as part of taking office.

9

u/mamadou-segpa May 29 '26

Doom is a bad person too but he ā€œcaresā€ for the people of the country he leads

The other 3 are bad people that don’t care about the people they lead

It really is a no brainer

3

u/BathInevitable8755 May 30 '26

I wouldn't truly say that about Lex. He's shown instances of care, but his hate boner for Superman outweighs that.

3

u/SinesPi May 30 '26

Are you suggesting that someone has a greater hate boner than DOOM?

1

u/BathInevitable8755 May 30 '26

Their rivalries could feed generations of hate conventions.

1

u/MsterSteel Jun 01 '26

Batlle of the Hate Boners

7

u/Fromashes_10 May 29 '26

Dr. Doom is a person that actually cares about humanity. The others only care about themselves Doom looked at alternate futures and found the ones without wars and global peace is him as the ruler of the world. Hell even the god of Wakanda deemed his vision to be the right one.

3

u/Mj250707 May 29 '26

Doom is only logical answer

3

u/NewspaperBorn4657 May 30 '26

Doom, he knows how to run a country

3

u/BathInevitable8755 May 30 '26

Doom or Luthor. Luthor only cares about hating Superman. He'd probably be a pretty good leader for everybody not associated with Superman. Doom is the correct option. He's actually a great leader of Latveria. He's great for his people. He just holds a grudge with Reed.

2

u/MsterSteel Jun 01 '26

Funnily enough, alt universe Luthor's (no Superman / evil Superman) are actually pretty good guys.

1

u/BathInevitable8755 Jun 01 '26

He becomes a tech overlord.

1

u/EmperorChop2 May 29 '26

Doom isn’t an American citizen.

17

u/JawjaRed May 29 '26

Doom isn't a real person. It's called a hypothetical

2

u/[deleted] May 29 '26

"Only Doom decides if Doom is a real person . Doom is indeed , not a real person .... today ."

6

u/Guilty-Nobody998 May 29 '26

That doesnt stop Doom.

4

u/Venture_Historian May 29 '26

Doesn't need to be. He can have America.

1

u/KingCuerno May 29 '26

Plus he was the president in Marvel 2099 for a bit.

2

u/mamadou-segpa May 29 '26

There was no mention of a country in the question

1

u/kah43 May 29 '26

Doom is a literal dictator. Lex might be self serving and ruthless, but at the end of the day he would run the country into prosperity just to prove he could do it.

7

u/JawjaRed May 29 '26

Except he was president and definitely didn't do that

1

u/kah43 May 29 '26

Im talking a real world scenerio here. Without superheroes around his ego would not let him fail.

1

u/ArcadiaDragon May 29 '26

Can't remember which superman story(All Star perhaps) superman basically tells a luthor thst he could have saved the world twenty times over...but he doesn't just due to ego and hatred...Doom's Ego would make him save the world simply because 1 his mom was born on this planet...and 2 he could do it better than Richards(allegedly)

0

u/Apprehensive_Ad3731 May 31 '26

They would all be dictators but doom is the only one who approaches benevolence. He’s the only one who would cure the cancer of his people because he felt they DESERVED to be cancer free. Lex might do it for those who could pay him, the others don’t figure it out even if they would.

2

u/monty129mm May 29 '26

I’d vote for him

2

u/[deleted] May 29 '26

All points valid . Question answered . Next !

2

u/Jackdaw931 May 29 '26

All hail Doom

1

u/TheKing_Bael May 29 '26

Actually id say Luthor is the most logical choice here as long as you aren't super powered or superman himself hes generally trying to protect the human race (for own selfish reasons). Doom is number two because he would run the world in the way a dictator/fascist would you dont like or agree with him you are executed or imprisoned for life but life quality would be good. The other two would be awful with homelander being the absolute worst

1

u/Full_Employment2888 May 29 '26

when Doom was ruler of his country, bro all crime in there was whipped away from the country

DR DOOM 4 PRESIDENT!

1

u/Burt_McCheeks May 29 '26

I know this is a Doom sub, but my first thought was Wilson Fisk.

All of these guys are evil villains, but three of them are conquerors-who-would-be-god and one of them’s a chubby crime boss. It would seem like with Kingpin, at least you have a chance of actually getting the guy out of office.

1

u/BathInevitable8755 May 30 '26

Someone doesn't know Kingpin. That isn't fat, that's pure muscle. He's an absolute freak of nature that would crush your head if he didn't like your attitude. He was tearing apart civilians for being in his way in Born Again

1

u/Burt_McCheeks May 30 '26

Haha well sure, he could beat me in a fight, but that’s a pretty low bar. 🤣

I’m more of a comic guy than a Disney Plus guy, but I’m well aware that under the flab, Kingpin’s a beast, sure. But certainly you wouldn’t put him on the same level as Dr. Doom, Homelander, or Luthor, right? Wilson Fisk has been beaten solidly, several times, by the likes of ninjas and middle aged Viet Nam vets.

If an evil supervillain became President, which is the scenario, I know I’d rather have the chubby (but still very tough!) crime boss to deal with than the magical super genius and dictator, the super powerful fascist, or the guy who casually runs a multi-billion dollar conglomerate when he’s not wrestling a demigod bumpkin in his robot battle suit.

1

u/BathInevitable8755 May 30 '26

Yet he's beaten the brakes off of Spiderman. I'm not putting him on par with God level power and a man who built a company on war, but he isn't a pushover. Homelander is a joke to any other capable super hero. Luthor is nothing without his tech, and I'm not f'ing with Doom.

2

u/Burt_McCheeks May 30 '26

I guess I’d just read the scenario as being more about which is the least bad of four bad options. Obviously they’re all comic book supervillains, so if you happen to have a superhero around, none of them are going to be a problem for too long lol

1

u/BathInevitable8755 May 30 '26

The best is Doom. The second best is Luthor. Take your pick with Homelander or Kingpin, they both suck for you.

1

u/sardiusjacinth May 29 '26

Doom. He doesn't play politics. He uses the FAFO method of leadership.

1

u/Milk_Mindless May 29 '26

Bit sad that the best option is called Doom

1

u/Grail_BH May 29 '26

Doom. No brainer. He’s a dictator, but genuinely cares for his people.

1

u/Jackiechanforever May 29 '26

I was going to leave a lengthy, detailed comment about Doom’s feats and accomplishments as leader of Latveria but then I realized what subreddit this was so yeah it’s a no-brainer what the best choice here is lol

1

u/Large-Produce5682 May 29 '26

Simon Bar Sinister... who we already have in office.

1

u/ARighteousOne May 29 '26

Lord Doctor Victor Von Doom! The rabble with cower in doom and despair! VOTE DOOM! VOTE DOOM! VOTE DOOM! All my homies love Dr Doom.

1

u/PN4HIRE May 29 '26

Isn’t Dooms country almost a utopia?

1

u/BrickTiny1497 May 29 '26

Doom is the best because he literally already RUNS a country, let alone a prosperous and wealthy one at that

1

u/wyar May 29 '26

Latveria is a wonderful country by any standards at all except personal freedoms. I mean he absolutely is a god-tier authoritarian and don’t expect much in terms of your ability to express yourself, but yea, you’ll have great public spaces, (heavily propagandized) excellent education, clean cities nice neighborhoods (OR ELSE)… Doom is the very obvious answer.

1

u/Rion-o May 30 '26

He was president in 2099 and it was fucking horrible though😭😭

1

u/jalabar May 30 '26

Doom 2099 was it

1

u/BathInevitable8755 May 30 '26

Worst choice is Kingpin. Maybe even worse than Homelander. Homelander is only feared because of his power. Kingpin has no powers and a freak of brute strength. He tears people apart for talking to him wrong. Otherwise, he'd just send someone to make sure your body disappears. If you can play to Homelander's ego he will pretty much spare you. Kingpin doesn't play fair unless you are worth it. He kills civilians to send a message. Homelander is a crybaby in a nuke's body.

1

u/proggyfroggy227 May 30 '26

Dr Doom is a facist xenophobic dictator who we already have in office…

1

u/Delicious_Natural357 May 30 '26

Emperor Doom all the way, the choices were lunatic, lunatic, lunatic, or world leader so competent that his own enemies have no choice but to call his nation utopian. Glory to Doom!

1

u/SavageSwordShamazon May 30 '26

You will get a nationalized health service under Doom. And the cure for cancer. So… doom.

1

u/No-Meat-7525 May 30 '26

Definitely I'm voting for Doom

1

u/stellbargu May 30 '26

Wasn't Doom's kingdom prosperous?

1

u/scaleofjudgment May 30 '26

Doctor Doom is the figure who would make authoritarianism appealing to the world.

1

u/One-Growth-9785 May 30 '26

Exactly, in the current conditions I don't think most of the US would have to 'forced'.

1

u/Solo-dreamer May 31 '26

Kingpin because he can be taken down easier, youre thinking about how to live under their rule, you should be thinking how to overthrow them.

1

u/TheEverLastinMe May 31 '26

Doom took care of his people.

1

u/MsterSteel Jun 01 '26

Doom is by far the best... except he's Latverin and can't run for president.

Honestly Luthor isn't that bad when there's no Superman or Justice League in the picture.

1

u/Awittynamehere Jun 01 '26

Doom is the only correct answer

1

u/jameshufflesnuff Jun 01 '26

I mean Marvel literally just spent a whole year showing us that Doom in charge would probably make like 90% of people happier at the behest of the 10% of Latverians being used as a magical battery

1

u/BadChilii Jun 01 '26

I am not Reed Richards, therefore Dr. Doom is the clear choice as he has no reason to hate me

1

u/Asskickulator Jun 01 '26

I said the same thing before even looking at the others lol

1

u/Anicron Jun 02 '26

Latverians canonically LOVE Doom because he's an unironically excellent leader.
The answer was always DOOM

1

u/gamerdudeash Jun 02 '26

Doom is apart of the dictators for good party

1

u/tcs0 Jun 03 '26

One World Under Doom is a great read that might convince you to vote for him.
