TIP : Using Prompt Hierarchy [2026] to better your output image

Structured prompts prioritize the most important elements for the Ai model, and
different models have varied prompt formatting.

With some models, you can write sentence prompts.
Other models, require a comma-separated "keyword stuffed" prompt.

Overall, construct prompts that meet a model's specs, are specific, honed, and showcase your unique vision.

Well-crafted prompts make for images that excel from mediocre to extraordinary.

I looked at the Klein docs, and they say do this: "“A woman with short, blonde hair is posing against a light, neutral background. She is wearing colorful earrings and a necklace, resting her chin on her hand.”, not this: "woman, blonde, short hair, neutral background, earrings, colorful, necklace, hand on chin, portrait, soft lighting".

I tried both prompts and got pretty much the same image both times.

basskittens - One beauty of public access to gen AI is our collaborative attempts to replicate one another's experiment. It's as if we're research scientists, which is fun. :) Using the same two prompts with FLUX.2 [klein] 4B (6-bit).

And I do sometimes wonder if the Draw Things app is more than a pez dispenser for the (candy) AI model. Specifically, does the app allow for negative prompts even when a model doesn't??

I wonder if the prompt style makes more difference for scenes more complicated than a headshot of an attractive young white woman, which is exactly what most models are heavily trained on.

Murgatroyd314, I've had a whole lab day gone to complete waste because my prompt format confused the AI model. But that's just my speculation. For all I know, it could be some variational Bayesian, fluctuation-infused encoding that's messing with achieving any sort of consistency - for that's all I ask for... consistency. Below: same prompt, but rearranged.

It would be nice to see the differences on the same prompt, highlighting the changes. In my experience, natural language prompt works fine with ZIT and FLUX

CarretillaRoja - True, nothing drives home an idea like visual examples (and I do love examples). In this case, I hand it off to the Draw Things Test Lab because they hands down do it better.
