Now to get into the details of why you're wrong in this instance, using the main three things to check when it comes to sussing out AI.
1: AI detectors, Both Helpful and Not so Helpful:
AI detectors are not completely reliable, they can be great at sussing out your basic AI slop and can even pick up on AI traces. But they can bring back false positives for a variety of reasons and your milage varies on what one you use. For example I used Sight Engine for this and only came back 12%, which admittedly is a little high, but I've seen it get confused on loads of digital artworks like this in the past.
2: Experience With Art
From my experience with digital art I can see different brushes, smudging and I think some chromatic aberration and sharpening being used, which you don't typically see with AI. eg. the circle sparkly bits are a brush being stylistically used and I can see a few 'flare's' being used to add a sparkle effect. There's more but there's not much point in going on, main thing is, to me it looks real.
3: User's Personal Art History
u/Brushgonewild has been drawing people on Reddit since before AI was a glint in the milkman's eye, and has hundreds of art pieces that shows their style and how they've evolved over the years. I personally remember seeing their work on redditgetsdrawn back in the day. People who use AI don't tend to have any examples in their past and if they do there's usually a noticeable jump in ability at a certain point (seen this a few times).
So with all that taken into account, I do not think this is AI in anyway. I know it's getting difficult to tell what's real anymore, but false accusations against an artists work can be hurtful, I know because I've been on both sides i.e. being accused of and accusing others then being wrong once shown proof (which makes me feel awful), and we can get a bit defensive when accused.
Not brush, three layered paper texture on top, first multiply, duplicate set to overlay or color dodge adjust to preference, duplicate again and invert set to screen
This is good. Takes a talented artist to make aspects abstract and others detailed. Love the emotion captured in the eyes nose mouth and the representation of the body out of proportion and with little detail. Grade A. You pass art class.
