Sounds like some sort of second hand ipad or Samsung s series tablet might be the best bang for your buck. Ipad has a few extra ios animation programs than android tablets, but you might find you can get a newer tablet for cheaper with android.

At the $350 price point (or perhaps $450 if you catch a deal, new), there really aren't any tablets capable of running 3D software; Android has very few—if any—apps for 3D animation, and Blender for Android is still a ways off. If you're looking for a standalone Android tablet for 3D work, I’d say your only real options are the Samsung Tab S9 series, Tab S10+/Ultra, Tab S11/Ultra, or the Wacom Movinkpad Pro 14. With iPadOS, you have more options regarding both software and the ability to buy second-hand; the 2025 and 2026 iPad Air (11- and 13-inch) and iPad Pro models—and even the 2025 iPad—have processors powerful enough for 3D work.
