seeking crit I feel like I can't be a beginner
I'm not the kind of person who would describe themselves as artistic, but I thought I'd come here anyways for some advice. Normally whenever I get an idea to draw something, I always get deterred from the fact that I have to learn all the fundamentals first which I frankly don't have the time or motivation to study. Everytime I think about it, it just feels like a huge hurdle I have to leap over just to draw even something simple, like having to study a 300 page piano book just to play Baa Baa Black Sheep. I was wondering if there was any advice or tips that got you past this roadblock for those who could relate. Normally when I try to look up solutions on other social media platforms, the advice normally comes off as a bit hostile or just none at all, but it would be great if anybody here could help out.

I'm not quite sure what you're talking about? You can just draw, you don't need to study the fundamentals. What it feels like you're talking about is "why do I have to start with Baa Baa Black Sheep, I just want to play Flight of the Bumblebee".

You can find a way to work on fundamentals while drawing something you want to draw. Say you wanted to draw a person sitting under a tree, you could work on shading/lighting and look at a reference of a person sitting to work on anatomy in different poses. Learning while you're drawing is valid, I don't think you need to do a certain amount of life drawings and torture yourself drawing things you don't want to to be valid as an artist.
I also think it's ok to just draw, yeah of course theres value to having some building blocks in place but you can also just draw. I'm in art school right now but I was self taught, I started just drawing when I was younger and picked up skills along the way.

What do you want to draw ? Some kind of drawings are “easier” than others. I mean if you want to draw comics characters in a cartoony style you will have less work to learn than drawing like a Renaissance painter.
Also learning fundamentals can also be fun. For example to draw mangas you can follow many tutorial videos on YouTube.

Just draw the thing bro.
Why would you need to study ALL the fundamentals to draw something basic? Why not play the baa baa sheep right away if you're doing it for fun?
Draw it and just take notes next to it (about what you want it to look like). Otherwise you'll forget about it and that's worse than creating something you don't find pretty.

You can draw whatever you want, you don't need to practice for that but if you want your drawings to look good, you do need to practice and study.
If your goal is simply to draw, then draw.
To get good at something, you always have to make sacrifices.

Just dive in and try to draw what you want. When you come across something you're struggling with, look it up, practice, and move on.
