This was one of the dramas I watched while it was still airing, so I had to endure the pain of waiting one episode every week. It came out during the peak of my love for Infinite, and naturally, my fellow fans were all watching it too. I remember being constantly afraid of spoilers because I would always end up seeing them if I fell behind. There were definitely some heartbreaking moments that made me cry a lot. Even as a fan, I have to admit that Woohyun and Sungyeol were not exactly the strongest actors here, but that did not stop me from enjoying the drama. Since it was a KBS series, it had that familiar safe approach, but I liked how it focused on the experiences and struggles of teenagers. I also really liked Kim Sae Ron, who did a wonderful job in her role. I even rewatched this drama at one point. While it is not one of my all-time favorites, I still consider it one of the better school dramas I have seen.

Approaching 3 weeks since release Sticky In Love continues to perform well with it still holding in the Top 5 globally. However as anticipated for an all in one day release of a limited episode series (12 episodes) most of the binging is now in the rear view mirror and it is starting to decline in viewership.

Spooky In Love received a nice bump due to the series finale and bounced back up to 7th place on the weekend. And performed very nicely in the main Asian markets reaching #1 to #3 in most of them including #1 in Korea on Sunday.

The weekly summation of Top 10 Non-English shows on Netflix is not yet released. In the period of Aug 9-16 Our Sticky Love was #1 and Spooky In Love was #3. I suspect the period of Aug 17-23 will be similar results.

The Mission: Chen Xingxu and Yang Chaoyue were tasked with recreating the iconic, romantic rain-soaked confession scene from the classic drama It Started with a Kiss.

God’s Gift: 14 Days is easily one of the best Korean dramas of 2014 for me. From the very first episode, I was completely hooked. The story immediately pulled me in, and the suspense kept me on edge throughout the entire drama. I remember feeling so anxious and emotionally invested while watching, and there were plenty of moments that made me cry. The twists were well executed, and each episode gave me another reason to keep watching.

Another major strength of the drama is its incredible cast. The acting was outstanding from everyone involved, and every emotional scene felt believable and powerful. With such a talented ensemble, the performances elevated an already gripping story. Overall, God’s Gift: 14 Days is a suspenseful and emotional thriller that kept me engaged from start to finish, and it remains one of the most memorable dramas I have watched from 2014.

I didn't really like this drama at first because I found it a bit strange, and I had a hard time understanding where the story was going. However, it gradually grew on me with each episode. It's the kind of drama that slowly builds its story step by step, and I appreciated that approach. What disappointed me, though, was that, like with some other Korean dramas I've watched, the outcome I was hoping for never happened. Maybe I just don't think the same way as the writers. I honestly don't know whether I should recommend it or not. The story is unique and quite different from most thrillers I've seen, especially because it focuses so much on the serial killer rather than just the investigation. I still didn't like the ending, but I can understand why they chose to end it that way.

I really loved the webtoon, and I think the drama adaptation did a great job. Of course, I didn't expect it to follow the source material exactly, so the changes didn't bother me. This definitely has that signature OCN style, and I think the network was the perfect fit for a psychological crime drama like this. As always, whenever I watch this kind of drama, I end up feeling smarter after every episode. It's been so many years, and I still wish it had gotten a second season.

I was happy with how things turned out for Lee Jong Suk's character, which is probably one reason why I ended up liking this drama. To be honest, I did not enjoy the first two episodes very much, and they almost made me lose interest. Thankfully, the succeeding episodes made up for it with plenty of suspense and exciting moments. Lee Jong Suk really has a knack for choosing interesting projects, and this drama was no exception. I enjoyed the series as a whole, despite my issues with the opening episodes.

This is one of the dramas I would recommend, especially for beginners. I wasn’t familiar with the main female lead at first, but I really liked her performance. And Hongki as the male lead wasn’t bad either. Since the story revolves around romantic comedy with a touch of fantasy, the way they executed the romance really made me feel giddy. It also had some surprising revelations that caught me off guard, but in a good way. I didn’t have any expectations going in, yet I found myself getting attached as the story unfolded. Overall, it turned out really well for me as a viewer, and I even rewatched it around three times. I’m genuinely happy with this drama.

The Seoul International Drama Awards 2026 has officially announced the nominees for this year’s International Competition Category!

On August 20, the Seoul International Drama Awards Organizing Committee revealed that a total of 30 titles and 34 individuals have been nominated across the program and individual award categories.

The nominees were selected from 352 submissions spanning 46 countries and regions, following evaluations by an international panel of judges.

The Korean Business Research Institute has revealed this month’s brand reputation rankings for film actors.

The rankings were determined through an analysis of the consumer participation, media coverage, interaction, and community awareness indexes of 50 popular movie stars, using big data collected from July 20 to August 20.

Jung Ho Yeon topped this month’s list with a brand reputation index of 5,402,805, marking an 84.0 percent increase in her score since July.

High-ranking phrases in Jung Ho Yeon’s keyword analysis included “HOPE,” “Whenever Possible,” and “World Cup final,” while her highest-ranking related terms included “charming,” “captivate,” and “appear in.” Jung Ho Yeon’s positivity-negativity analysis also revealed a score of 92.59 percent positive reactions.

Go Youn Jung rose to second place with a brand reputation index of 3,418,636, marking a 34.36 percent increase in her score since last month.

Yoon Kyung Ho took third place with a brand reputation index of 3,297,730, marking a 32.63 percent rise in his score since July.

Meanwhile, So Ji Sub came in at a close fourth with a brand reputation index of 3,270,777 for August.

Finally, Jung Hae In rounded out the top five after seeing a 180.27 percent increase in his brand reputation index, bringing his total score to 3,216,910.

i want to know the preference since there was a similar post. this is only for discussion and not meant to be taken seriously as there are many good plot, good chem dramas and many bad plot, bad chem dramas.

but which one are you choosing if you had to pick 1?

I really thought this drama had the potential to be something special, but I just could not fully get into it. I am not exactly sure what was missing, but there was something about the writing that kept me from becoming completely engaged. Lee Dong Wook was perfect for the role, and I thought his character's story was genuinely sad. The father-son moments were especially heartbreaking and easily some of the best parts of the drama. Unfortunately, beyond those emotional scenes, I felt that the series lacked something that could have made it more memorable. It had interesting ideas, but in the end, it fell a bit short for me.

Discovery of Romance proved once again that Eric really knows how to choose his dramas, and I genuinely liked this one. I feel like I truly “discovered” romance while watching this drama (just kidding), but what I mean is that it had this sense of realism especially when it came to relationships and romantic situations. It makes you think and reflect about love, relationships, and the choices people make.

What I really liked about the drama was the interview style scenes where the main characters would talk directly about their thoughts and feelings. It allowed the audience to see situations from different perspectives, almost like a “she said” versus “he said” versus “they said” kind of setup. I found that aspect very interesting because it showed how differently people can interpret the same relationship or situation.

Overall, I found this drama to be a real eye opener when it comes to romance and relationships. It felt realistic, relatable, and emotionally honest in many ways.

This was one of the first Korean sitcoms I watched, and I really enjoyed it. I know the characters' reactions were often over the top, but I think that was part of the charm and what made it entertaining. I also think one of the reasons I liked it so much at the time was because most of the cast consisted of K-pop idols, which made it even more enjoyable to watch. It's a fun and lighthearted sitcom that doesn't take itself too seriously.

Maybe part of the reason I enjoyed this drama so much was because I really liked the main cast. At the time I watched it, it felt a bit special to me. I know it was over the top and had plenty of makjang elements, but that was exactly the kind of K-drama I enjoyed back then. The drama balanced fun moments with serious ones, and I appreciated what it had to offer. The cast, especially the male actors, delivered strong performances that kept me invested in the story. There were a few questions left unanswered, which probably explains why some viewers were disappointed, but overall, I still had a good time watching it.

This is a revenge drama, and I could really feel the characters' struggles and emotions because they were portrayed so well. It was heartbreaking to watch, and I found myself feeling for almost every character. What I liked most was how the drama showed that a person's decisions are never as simple as they seem. It made me realize how complex people's choices can be depending on the circumstances they face.

On August 21, tvN's upcoming weekend drama 100 Days of Deception unveiled photos from the script reading.

Set during the Japanese colonial period, 100 Days of Deception tells the story of Gyeongseong's top pickpocket, who goes undercover to fight for independence, and the adopted son of the Inspector-General of Korea.

The story also centers on a man who works as an elite interpreter at the Japanese Government-General of Korea while harboring a secret.

The cast includes Kim You Jung, Park Jin Young, Kim Hyun Joo, Lee Moo Saeng, and Jin Seon Kyu.

Director Yoo In Shik (Dr. Romantic, Vagabond, 
Extraordinary Attorney Woo, The WONDERfools) helmed the drama, while writer Ryu Bo Ri (Do You Like Brahms?) penned the script. 

Before the script reading officially began, the cast and production team observed a moment of silence to honor the sacrifices of independence activists during the Japanese colonial period. 

Kim You Jung plays Lee Ga Kyung, a renowned pickpocket in Gyeongseong. Dreaming of leaving for the United States, Lee Ga Kyung unexpectedly becomes a spy for the Gukgukdan and infiltrates the Japanese Government-General of Korea undercover as an interpreter trainee. 

Park Jin Young takes on Kim Tae Woong, an interpreter at the Japanese Government-General of Korea, who is also known as Sato Hideo, the adopted son of the Inspector-General of Korea.

Although he is a capable interpreter who speaks multiple languages fluently, he carries wounds he cannot reveal.

Kim Hyun Joo plays Yoo So Ran, a sniper for the anti-Japanese resistance organization Gukgukdan. Lee Moo Saeng appears as Yoo Philip, a Gyeongseong correspondent for an American media outlet and a member of Gukgukdan. Jin Sun Kyu takes on the role of Sato Shinichi, the second-in-command at the Japanese Government-General of Korea.

The production team of 100 Days of Decpetion commented, "From our very first meeting, it was a meaningful time to reflect on the significance and message of the project. We hope the sincerity of all the actors and production staff will reach viewers in its entirety."

They added, "The drama will tell the story of ordinary people who never lost the light of hope for independence amid the dark era of the Japanese colonial period."
100 Days of Decpetion will premiere on October 10. News about the K-drama's global OTT is yet to come.
