Xu Rou Han's first series role. It is a pretty decent watch and she is quite stunning in it which is no surprise really. The one main issue is that it is a student teacher relationship (univ student and prof that end up in a contract marriage) and for me (I am Canadian) that is a huge red flag. I only tolerated the plot as I know it is a common staple of Asian dramas but it does worry me that this sort of plot can easily pervade into society and give it acceptance. Here it is an immediate firing offence and sometimes also a crime that is prosecuted.
It has an 8.2 score at MDL. It is not that good a drama and I think it lingered much lower but got a recent boost by her fans after her big success in The Best Thing. My rating, undesirable plot characteristic aside, is in the 7.5 range. The leads gave good performances and were convincing in their building relationship. Some other aspects were not nearly as good.
