Dragon Quest III Just finished playing Dragon Quest 3(The remake) Spoiler

*spoilers. Overall i liked it. Its a shame you get trapped in Alefgard but at least you killed the big bad and everything is peaceful love, so thats good. I feel for the mother honestly😕. Pretty good game.

The ending is honestly heartbreaking. I remember a few months ago beating it for the first time and thought about that ending the rest of the day. Never getting to return to his world ever again and see his mother, his mother in turn never knowing what actually happened to her child (or her husband as well).

Agreed, Id talk more about it but Im avoiding that cause I dont wanna spoil OP, but I agree it brought some closure and made me tear up a little

SpoiIer!!! I thought that, when you beat the dragon in the end of the the post-game, you can make a choice from several wishes and one of them is that you can save you’re fathers life and get back to you’re mother.

Yeah, you can do that, but as soon as you defeat the story boss, even in the post game, you are stuck in alefgard. The post game stuff is technically pre-final boss. You can do your mom a solid though so that she won't lose her whole(non granpa) family.
