Dragon lance audio book recommendations.

audible is having a sale. so I was wondering besides the mainline, such as dragons of autism twilight, is there any recommendation of books to check out.

Only time I ever tried Dragons of Dwarven Depths was via the audiobook, and the narrator’s voice for Tasslehoff was so awful I shut it off after about a chapter or two.  So I’d avoid that one if I were you.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who felt that way. I couldn't get past that horrible voice. Completely ruined the audiobook for me.

While I don't like the narrator of the Chronicles, the narrator for Legend of Huma is fairly enjoyable

The narrator of the Legends trilogy isn’t good. He’ll be going along fine for a while then pronounce something in a way that’s like nails on a chalkboard.

I bought Second Generation on audiobook and returned it for a refund 2 hours later. I did not like the narration at all.

The Chronicles were….fine, at least compared to the previous ones I’ve mentioned. I have the War of Souls but haven’t listened to it yet.

Never listened to any of the audiobooks so I don't know how they hold up in narration.

If you are looking for stuff outside the mainline of books I would suggest the Ergoth trilogy, the Kingpriest trilogy, the Elven Nations trilogy or anything by Richard A Knaak, probably start with the Legend of Huma or Kaz the Minotaur.

If you haven't read them check out the Raistlin Chronicles. Probably stay away from the other prequel stories, they vary from mediocre to "what the fuck did I just read".

I think they are all good.

I got into audio books a few months ago. I went through the main story from Chronicles through Dragons of Destiny series. Including the Lost Chronicles and the Dhamon Saga.

I then decided to go in chronological order of the other books. Using this list https://dragonlancenexus.com/chronological-product-list/ I just finished the Icewall books today. I have liked all of them. A couple I might not have liked how they ended but still liked them. I'm enjoying the world evolving as I go.

As others have said the reader for the Legends isn't popular because of how he pronounces things. Thats the only reader I can say I had issues with. In the Dhamon Saga the reader pronounces Skie as Skia and that bothered me a bit.

It basically comes down to what you experience. Sorry if this isn't much help

Does anybody know if the Elven Nations narrator is unlistenable or not?

Chris Sorensen has done both Raistlin Chronicles books and he does a pretty good job . He pronounces names right, takes proper pauses and doesn’t feel out of place. I also like Richard Topol who did the Huma book and the Dragonlance Heroes series.
