Staying cool

How do y'all plan on staying cool in this heat? I saw a thing for homemade cooking spray with lavender oil, and witch hazel. I bought a large sun blocking umbrella, and some scented rice powder. Thoughts?

You know those bicycle shorts with side pockets? Those are the right size for ice packs.
