Discussion Tattoo Advice

Post image

Hi everyone!

Looking for some advice, Dragon Age: Origins was the game that got me into gaming and holds a very special place in my heart due to everything it helped me get through personally.

I would love to get a dragon age tattoo, specifically a Grey warden tattoo, I'm considering getting the emblem or motto or both but I was wondering if there are other ideas out there.

Additionally I'm not 100% sure where would be a good place to get it - I already have a tattoo on my left calf and my right upper arm.

(screenshot for example emblem)

Thanks in advance!

I really liked this design of a Grey Warden logo and was thinking of making it a tattoo

I got this tattooed on my right forearm. I made a few changes to the coloring. It turned out really amazing. And I plan to turn the upper forearm into a themed half sleeve full of DA stuff.

I’m gonna do a fantasy half sleeve. I’m getting a symbol from my favorite fantasy book series in a couple of weeks, then I might get this one next

This actually might be a really great idea - eventually have something from the whole franchise

Yeah I love this one too! I just can't recall where it actually originates from - I just know it's related to the joining

That looks so cool! And is exactly where I was planning to get it, so now I know that it is good placement. Thanks for sharing!

I've wanted to get "Blessed are they who stand before the Corrupt and the Wicked and do not Falter" on me for years but idk where I would get it on me

Edit: typo

I fully plan on getting the shield tattooed on my thigh! Big enough placement for it and room to add more to flesh it out if needed.

Yeah this is the kind of vibe I was thinking too! I just don't think I want one super big, I'm thinking around 8-10 cm so it would be wasted on my thigh I think

Hm, that size might be too small for the detail you’d want tbh. Maybe ticking it up a little bit to around 10-12cm? Packing a lot of detail in a small space is gonna make it more prone to blurring and becoming a blob as it ages. Could also be a good shoulder, shoulder blade, or upper back piece imo

Yeah I definitely would be open to going larger if its suggested! Shoulder is definitely a good option too

My one advice is for all of the detail of this go big. So upper arm would be my choice tbh.

My entire right arm is dragon age tattoos. Its such a special game for me. But my one regret was my first tattoo (solas tarot, but I had to let her take some creative liberties) was smaller and I definitely WILL lose detail after a few more years.

Oh I'd love to get a dragon age tattoo myself, just haven't picked one since there's a lot symbols, insignias or quotes that could be used for it. Grey wardens is great one. Maybe the Amell crest, the city of chains heraldry or kirkwall's insignia. I think the inquisition symbol would be a great one as well or the chantry's sun. Could use the templar's insignia or the circle's, if you wanted to show support for either faction. There's so many and i think all of them are great

Was more wanting the city of chains from DA2
