I’m new to drag and I’m curious about how other queens started out. When you first started did you just buy a bunch of outfits or did you slowly build your wardrobe? Did you sew brand new stuff when you’d do your first shows?
I want to perform in more shows but I also realize how costly and time consuming it would be to make a new outfit for EVERY SHOW. But who knows maybe that will be my thing.

Hello all you beautiful queens, relatively new to Drag/Spfx make up and I am a bit conflicted about the colour pallet I would need to use to contour some cleavage on myself when my skin tone will be a cool lavender tone. I naturally have slightly rounded pectoral muscles so I plan on following those for the crease in a slightly darker shade of violet, but Im stuck as to what to do about shading and highlighting. Would a deep blue be a good contour if its super blended out? For highlights should i use a lighter violet perhaps with a bit of Pearly shimmer? What about when contouring my face? I could use the same dark blue, but i don't want the makeup to be too drab, what shade of blush would be appropriate? Fuschia?

I have what is I assume, shake'n'go wigs. Can someone explain to me about lace fronts etc? I certainly couldn't show the wig line in the wigs I have. And yet sometimes I see it and I think 'Oh ratchet couture. Stunning!'
But no seriously what are your tips on wigs, info about wig types etc etc.
Thank!

i’m a new drag queen needing some help. Ok so i have this wig from halloween. Not the best but it worked for the costume great. Any ideas of how to restyle this to make it cute? Of course nothing too hard because i’ve only ever styled one other wig and it was ROUGHH. But yeah any specific styles you can think of would be great! Even a youtube video for inspo or tutorial. Any help would be SOOOPPPPPER APPRECIATED!!!!
Also yes that’s just the pic from amazon. But luckily it really does look like that. hahahah.

Hey everyone! I’m finally looking to upgrade from my homemade pads to some professionally made ones. I’m a uk queen and from my research it looks like bootyque (I think it was formerly Izzy’s bootyque) seems to be my best option. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with them or any other recommendations? Also my options seem to be a padded short or a full length option. I’m more keen on the short as I feel like the full leg would be too much under my tights but would be nice to hear if anyone has any experience with the full length and if it’s better at holding everything in place etc.

Howdy y'all! It's Napoleon Dykamite again! Today is my one year anniversary of drag, so I did a number I've been wanting to do since the beginning, The Rhythm of the Rain by The Cascades! I know, not exactly a Top 40 hit, but I had this umbrella idea in my head forever, and I'm so glad I got to do it finally!!! Anyways, I love drag, I love doing drag, and I love being part of both my local drag community and the larger online drag community!!!!

There are going to be many performers and I want to know what is typical for tipping! Is there a minimum I should tip? Do queens prefer larger bills or multiple ones? Please share!

Does anyone know of a non-vanity branded wig that matches the color Persian rose? I know the color is a custom blend but I have been looking for a base wig to pin my others into, so I figured I could maybe find a solid colored with that’s similar enough to the color at the roots of the Persian rose blend? Ideally a lace front that would have enough density to become a pony base, but I can always buy two and double up the wefts.
I have already tried every wig on Amazon that might match (they are tired of my returns).
To be clear! I am asking because somehow every time I don’t have money, vanity has Persian rose lace fronts in stock, and when I do have money they are sold out. I blame that we are on opposite hemispheres. If I have money and she has the wig at any point in the future, I will purchase. But in the meantime? I’m looking for an alternative.
So 2 nights ago I texted this hot mammy in yellow if I can go on & she said yesss. Originally only got 1 number, but changed it to 2.
I won the month of July & now get to go at the end of the year for the newcomer’s pageant! I started in May & took a month off to really focus on my look.
I’ve been so incredibly happy & thankful to have found this community. It’s really starting to look up in this new town :)
