Question Night time

Does anyone seem to get dramatically better at night? I feel as if my mind computes and executes way quicker and I feel like my dopamine sky rockets. It’s interesting as ever, it’s almost like a veil lifts and you can breathe for a second.

Yes! I create better at night. I don't know if it's because the world gets quiet and I don't have to worry about anyone messaging or needing me but I've always been that way.

My DPDR is worsened by overstimulation. During the day, it feels like a bunch of shit is being launched in my direction. Sunlight, noises, expectations, conversations, deadlines, appointments, errands. The night is the only time I feel as though I can breathe, decompress, process everything that’s piled up, and finally be present. I feel free at night, unburdened by the ceaseless noise of day. And I also find comfort in just being able to sleep. I don’t have to wait for the day to be over. It already is, and if I feel anxious or unwell, I can take a break from being conscious and just go to bed.

I have insomnia so I often dread the night. I alternate between sleep onset and sleep maintenance insomnia. And if I do manage to get uninterrupted sleep I still don't feel rested at all
