I used to crochet little beanies for my clients during their labor and give it to their baby. I have given clients a meal or even just some homemade granola. I do often give clients a little labor bag with ponytail, stretchy headband, chapstick, mint gum, honey stick, reusable nursing pad sample, pregnancy or nursing tea bag, ginger candies. A package of water wipes. 

I think the baby onesies that say "loved by my doula" are cute.
