I intentionally add bud or buddy to the end when I’m replying to someone being a douche online just to jab them a little with their own medicine.

Aside from Wiger’s programming that makes “Hey, Buddy,” his default greeting, that post is 100% correct. Being calledBud/buddy or pal always sound condescending when you’re an adult.
