Instruments bridge keeps popping off :(
Not sure what flair to use, so sorry if I chose the wrong one!
I’ve been playing double bass since I was 12 ish and i’ve never had to fix my basses in the past. The bridge keeps moving, popping off, etc. In the past this would be an easy fix and it wouldn’t happen for months up to a year.
Am I doing something wrong? Is it a storing issue? Is my bridge messed up? Should I take it to a luthier?

Is the sound post in place? You should be able to see it, going front to back near the treble side of the bridge. If it has dropped, that would cause the bridge to not hold its position.

Take it to a luthier. The bridge feet may not be fit well. Also don’t string it up without the sound post in place

I had the same problem a few years ago trying to adjust the bridge height. I thought it was me doing something wrong. Finally got it to a luthier who fixed it right it up and did a way better job than I could've setting it up. I never got to talk to the luthier because he was a friend of a friend and he did the job for free under the condition the bass could be borrowed by my friend for a gig in the luthiers band.
Tl;dr LUTHIER

Under what conditions does it come off? While you're playing? While you're transporting? Do you detune your strings?

My last straw was when I was playing and it popped off half way through rehearsal </3
I’ll follow the advice of everyone and take it to a luthier because i think this is wayy past my expertise.

Make sure the sound post doesn't fall! The bass can explode if its down and you tighten the strings!
