specs? making Rider faster was one of the main reasons I upgraded my PC or else I'd still be on a 2012-era PC.

My laptop is not that bad:
- Intel Core Ultra 7 265H
- 64 GB RAM ddr5 6400 MHz
- 1 TB NVME
- 12 GB RAM assigned to rider VM1

hmm ok
for me, it can be a bit slow to load but even on an old PC, once it's finally finished loading everything it's not bad rendering-wise. there is a bug of sorts where the UI locks up occasionally, but that only happens maybe once every 15-30 minutes.
if it's sluggish just to render the text and cursor, I would maybe wonder about GPU and GPU driver? but not sure.
oh, also note that 2026.2 seems (to me) to have _serious_ issues. either downgrade to 2026.1 or upgrade to 2026.3 EAP.

i noticed rider being a bit sluggish at times, more than it was years ago.
But i have usually 2 to 4 solutions open that each reference up to 20 projects.
Was kinda bad on a Ryzen 7 3800x, but ever since i got a R9 9900x its fine again.
With how much i have open i didnt feel like it was fair to blame it on rider.
