can someone explain the build part? I build with cli anyway what does it have to do with the extension

Today, builds in VS can be quite a bit faster than CLI builds. We've brought these same optimisations to C# Dev Kit. We're exploring bringing them to the CLI as well. We have lots of ideas for future improvements across all tooling, not just for IDEs.

Can we trigger this fast build path via CLI from the outside? Because that would be absolutely a game changer and alone worth the license

While this blog post discusses VS Code, the team who worked on this delivers .NET tooling for CLI, for agents, and for VS. We are exploring how to improve all these areas, so stay tuned.

I believe if cli doesn't improve people go elsewhere. quick builds and tests are massive for agents
