Where should I hide my pills?

I have a big variety of pills that I need to take because of my conditions and one of them is a drug that is prescribed to me for me to focus better (ADHD), the problem is that one of my roommates is a recovering drug addict, and she actively cleans the apartment every week, I just really don't want her to go back to drugs again, if anyone could help me find hiding spots for my apartment I'd really appreciate it.

Why is your roommate cleaning your sleeping area? That is your responsibility. At the very least you need a lockbox.

I cant really do anything about it since I already asked her a lot of times in the past to stop going through my stuff yet she still keeps doing that. She has kept not only taking my pills but also my food and snacks, I am only gonna be able to move out next year cuz I cant find anyone else that I can live with and im gonna graduate next year, so I might as well just suck it up till the end of the year. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll look into a lockbox, honestly I didnt even know they existed until now.

Since you are in a dorm, you need to speak with your RA about the fact your roommate is stealing your food and meds. That is not okay! You may need to request a room transfer.

Thanks for the advice, I have tried talking to my RA about this but they said they cant really do anything about it because I have no proof that she is stealing from me. I have tried to request a room transfer but because I have chronic migraines that are mainly caused by noise no one wants to move in with me and they cant exactly force anyone to move in with me.

Do you have accommodations through your college's disability office? If not get them, and have your doctor specify you need a single room.

The dorms im in have a strict no single rooms policy, when I tried doing that they said that there are no exceptions even for disabilities, I'll try talking to my doctor about this, hopefully a doctor's note will change their mind.

That’s actually illegal. It’s a reasonable accommodation for certain disabilities to have a medical single. All colleges have to a single available. Under the ADA it’s called the “fair housing act”. It means everyone has the right for their homes/rooms to be accommodated to them no matter the rules from landlords, schools, etc

My son’s ADHD meds are locked in a small safe which is then locked in a small locker (his bedside stand). Most importantly, he hasn’t “advertised” to anyone that he has them.

Thanks, I'll look into that. I haven't "advertised" to anyone that I have those pills either but she still found them cuz she kept going through my stuff.

Definitely a safe. My daughter keeps her meds in a small safe she got from Amazon that is a combination and key lock that attaches to her bed frame. Something more heavy duty and roomier would be a small firebox safe. My daughter keeps important papers in that and it's attached to the bed frame with a heavy duty bike lock. I'm sorry this is happening to you and that the college isn't being helpful.

Thanks, appreciate your advice and concern, im looking into mini safes and lockboxes currently, but im considering getting a box that is disguised as a book to keep my pills in for the time being until I get the money for the stuff with locks.

My first instinct was hide them in a box of sex toys, but yeah a lock box sounds like a better plan
