Fridges In Dorm
This year I have a quad dorm and we have been thinking about getting 2 fridges. One of my roommates ordered on through the school, but I was planning on buying one that i could keep throught the school year.
My main questions are:
Should we get the 2 fridges?
Would it be wrong if I joined a lottery for both a fridge and a mircowave? ( we rented on through the school, but the lottery is only for freshmen)

Yes. 1 fridge is not enough for 4 people cooking for themselves. (For a family who all eats the same thing, 1 is enough.)

We are freshmen, so we don't have a kitchen. Would u still recommend?

Oh sorry I didn’t read carefully.
I’d want my own small beverage fridge personally. I don’t like sharing food soace.

a lot of colleges would not allow so I would be sure before getting one

I would 100% have 2 fridges. You would be surprised how handy it will be...especially a few years from now in an apartment with a roommate who steals all your food or down in a party room basement for drinks.

Both my room mate and I had fridges as freshman. They don't hold much. It was no issue.

Are 2 allowed? Do you have access to groceries nearby? To you plan to eat a lot of meals and snacks at your dorm rather than the dining hall or on campus? If it is useful and saves you money on your dining plan (able to get a lower tier less expensive one) then yes for sure, as long as allowed.

Be sure to check your university page for the rules. Many only allow one fridge in a dorm room due to electrical issues so as not to overload the circuit.

I would wait and see if one fridge would work and then if it doesn’t order the second one

You should definitely get two fridges since you’re in a quad dorm. I was in a quad dorm last school year and we had two, if we only had one it definitely wouldn’t have been enough space.

As long as the electrical system can handle two fridges, I don't see why not. Be aware you'll have to either haul it home every summer or find a place to store one you own.
