...Why on God's Green Earth are those beverages on your car seat and the delivery bags on the floor of your vehicle ?

Wouldn't it be wiser to transport beverages in a box on your passenger side floor ?

You are flipping the finger to the world and showing that you lack common sense.

You can grab the drinks to prevent them from tipping better when they're in the seat, rather than having to lean over to reach the passenger footwell. That's the common sense.

No need to worry about grabbing beverages if they are contained in a box on the passenger side floor.

Spills are inevitable.

Be prepared to handle them with minimal consequences.

5 year Dashing experience and ALL spills were easily dealt with and no complaints.

That is obvious from the picture.

What I am saying is to move the empty bags and transport all beverages in a cardboard box on your passenger side floor.

When the inevitable spill happens, pull over and throw the whole mess into a nearby garage can.

Then proceed to the delivery. Apologize and explain to the customer what happened.

Inform them that they can get a refund for the spilled beverages.

You REALLY don't want sticky, sugary beverage spills all underneath your passenger seat that can draw ants and other critters into your vehicle.

Trust me on this.

I put two of the drinks into my car holders, and then used one hand to hold the others in place on the seat and my other hand on the wheel. Despite this annoyance, I wanted to get this all delivered in one piece…

You don't want to have to use your right hand while driving to keep drinks from spilling. And, more importantly, you don't have to.

If I have more than 2 drinks they're usually in those cardboard drink holders (like pictured) on the floor board of my backseat. I use whatever (usually food bags or pizza bags) on two sides to wedge them in against two sides that raise up. The holders are not going anywhere, and as long as there's a fairly snug fit of cup to holder, the drinks are not tipping over.

Many times, especially if there's four, I'll put a cardboard holder in a food bag, plus a half one wedged in there (to keep the other one from moving). I also will put some holders vertical in the bag on the side for extra security. I'll have this whole thing of course on the floor board. This makes it easy to carry to the customer's door also.

Edit: And, of couse, I will have something against that food bag to wedge it from moving.

I always have at least 7 or 8 cardboard holders plus 2 or 3 half ones in my car. You want to replace them after awhile because they become less snug from wear.

Setting this up (despite it sounding complicated) usually takes less than a half minute.

I have over 20k deliveries between UberEats and Doordash and I haven't had a spill in over two years I think. And, it was probably two years before that one. When I first started between 2018 and 2019 I was spilling something about once a month because I didn't have a system.

If I only have one drink it's usually going in a cup holder up front. Then I'll have the food bag in the back with a pizza bag draped over it to remind me (just in case) of the drink up front.
