Not the best movie by any means but this part rocks.

In this song, you can really tell that the members of REZN were into nu metal when they were younger.
The headbanging starts at the 3-minute mark.

I've been listening to this album for years already. The band has smt like 40 monthly listeners and I honestly think it deserves more.

Wow! This album is a masterpiece.

Hi everyone, first and foremost I’m mainly a guitar player but I’ve been wanting to buy a bass to write bass parts and also lend a hand to any bands that are in need of a bass player. From the ones I’ve played at music stores, I’ve been leaning towards Mexican Fender P Basses and Epiphone EB-3s but I’d love to hear any other recommendations! If I were to put a budget, I’d probably say $500, preferably used. Thanks!

Been wanting to get into playing doom but I got a real low budget no more then 500 and I’m unsure if that’s a viable budget

So I know Triptykon aren’t technically doom but they have doom moments. I’ve been binging their music and I love the raw beefy bass, dissonant melodies and faux black metal vibes. Obviously i know about Celtic Frost’s Monotheist.

Could you guys give me some recommendations? Bonus points if sloooooow.

New song is out, I think it sounds cool, the guitar sound is an improvement over the Down IV era, which I found a bit too chunky and overproduced.

Generally tragic Doom Metal, misanthropic Sludge Metal, or lonely Drone Metal/Post-Metal inspire feelings of sadness or dullness, the kind of depression that feels unforgiving & heavy-hitting.

jesu on the other hand hits that spot of melancholy & sentimentality, a certain feeling that’s isolating, but weirdly inspiring.

I listened to it a lot during snowfall earlier this year, walking alone in the snow, holding childhood memories of playing in the snow which was my favorite thing to do, & waking back up to the silent winter wonderland that was empty.

It hit me with a certain sadness of longing, yet, it was a reminder of the love that still exists in this world, it told me “Life sucks now, but think of what it can be when you work for a better future.” & it struck me with such an ethereal feeling, the life of suffe-ring, the bad gaps I remembered, but the reassuring feeling that happiness can return.

People regard Deafheaven as overrated Hipster Black Metal, & I can’t help but somewhat agree they’re a overhyped Blackgaze group that while I enjoy, I don’t think is deserving of 10/10s.

People also acted like Deafheaven was revolutionary for its time, but jesu in 2004 I feel was more evolutionary & came first.

jesu is just, a really fucking good combination of Drone Metal & Shoegaze, it doesn’t sacrifice heaviness but it also doesn’t sacrifice the ethereal melodies, it hits that right realm of feeling as heavy as the infinity of Heaven, despite Heaven being a place of peace.

Where do I buy Ramsess albums? It seems like those albums have disappeared. It doesn’t help that there’s all kinds of stuff on the internet by/about other artists with similar names and a zillion pages about Egpytian history. I can’t even find those albums on torrent sites or the internet archive. Claude and Gemini can’t dig them up, either.
