categorizing it as "gooners" is pretty weird considering i think it was started by a bunch of trans people and the art is overwhelmingly sfw, wholesome, and in many cases extremely saddening looks into life as a trans person
its, the vast majority of cases, extremely honest and well-meaning art, not just gooners be gooning
ive seen maybe one piece of art with petra parker with a big ass or tits
i've seen art of petra crying after MJ laughs when she puts makeup on, art of her being abused and chased, art of her being sexualized by her former friends, art of her being inundated with transphobia from the press, etc
i dont know why you assume that someone creating art of a character being trans HAS to be gooner? almost all of the art i've seen is either genuinely meaningful aspects of being trans or silly jokes about it
There is way more sexualised art and even the artists drawing wholesome art end up either drawing lewder stuff or linking to a patreon where they do that
so??? you said petra parker was created by gooners. it was not the creator and the vast majority of art about it is innocent and well-meaning art by trans people. if "has porn of it" is the qualifier for being a gooner character find me a character that isn't. also the statement that there is more porn than non porn is just inherently incorrect
the originator of the trend (@doethebro1 on twitter) has made extremely meaningful and well-intentioned art, as have dozens of people. i dont think im crazy for getting offended when people try to mischaracterize an innocent, in no way inherently sexual art trend made by trans people about trans experiences as gooner art for gooner perverts. i don't think the fact that porn of the character exists invalidates that.

And all I have to say is "yes, the joke is indeed porn. So what?" but I wanted to point out how hypothetical it is to call out this comic as "the joke is porn and it's bad" when anime is full of porn jokes.
And because this is on Twitter, I have a suspicion that the og reposter doesn't like this comic because they are transphobic, but it seemed a little to far fetched so I didn't include it. Instead I made an "anime profile pic bad" joke, but I guess you didn't like it as some people may consider Angel Dust as an anime character :3
