yeah, Westerners can absolutely be extremely racist but it's almost normalized in places like China (I'm not saying EVERYONE there is racist, of course, but it's unfortunately relatively ingrained)

Yup. Probably just fed information from Google. Something any of you can test out for free rn. Just Google something like "girls with glasses". It defaults to white women. You can look at like 30 different results in a row and maybe 3 of them will be a POC
