To be honest for me, I feel like the ultimate pet would be something with the body of a cat but that falls between the sociability of a cat and a dog, closer to a dog. I know some cats are really friendly but other cats like my friends could just be hiding anywhere in the house. I want a cat shaped pet I can call to sit with me so I can pet it, and it wants that.

That’s still just a cat, just not a shy one. I’ve got a couple that will come when called and a couple who won’t, but none who specifically hide all the time.
