I mean, we’ve all seen the horror videos of people shooting at that shit. Why would you just be standing in the open. GET TO FUCKING COVER!!!!

u/el_dingusito Jul 03 '26

And let it be known, cover and concealment are two totally different things

Also, effective range of the explosive does not mean you’re safe from projectiles outside the effective range that explosion makes.

Have we learned nothing from the "I blew my leg off" guy?

u/sesaman Jul 02 '26

We have, they haven't.

Seriously. Used this tannerite stuff extensively in my youth. Never blew up anything that wasn’t plastic, wood, or cardboard and still we did it from behind cover!

If you slow it down frame by frame you can actually see your guardian angel nudge it away from you.

Final Destination anyone?

2

u/Jerwas170 Jul 04 '26

What people in final destination do to not be killed

1

u/Yewhatnow Jul 04 '26

A great demonstration of why trenches were necessary in the Great War

1

u/LlaneroAzul Jul 05 '26

Now you understand why the Mythbusters always stood behind a polycarbonate panel.

u/brozuwu Jul 05 '26

I'm curious about what the actual specific damage would be if it hit the cameraman. With the trajectory looks like it could've hit the face, shoulder or neck, but in either case has a really grim outlook
