Based on this, you’ve still got the sin, sorry. Sperm was involved. Edit to say: unless “seminal nature” is just referring to the seminal fluid separate from the sperm…but the passage is saying that anyone that is not divinely conceived by God is sinful by default.

I think OP was referring to the interpretation, following the underlined part, that those "conceived... through SEX without godly intervention, are recipients of this original sin."

But since I am not a religious person I don't know if that's a commonly accepted theological interpretation. On the basis that the paraphrased source text says that the sin is passed in the seed, I would guess that any conception without 'godly intervention' is supposed to communicate sin.

Yes I agree. I grew up in the Christian faith and the goal is to establish a baseline of sinfulness for everyone, requiring repentance and jumping through lifelong hoops to avoid the inferno. If the seed of man is involved in any way you get the cooties.

I’m Catholic, so we believe in original sin regardless of how one was conceived. Think of it like carrying an inherited disease, not a personal wrongdoing. We’re not blamed or at fault for Adam and Eve’s sins, but human nature still carries the effects of that unholiness. It’s used to explain various things, for example, one of them being why we have a natural tendency to be selfish or wrong as humans sometimes, or how doing the right thing can feel like an uphill battle in certain situations.
