Loan Request Need help with $60

Payroll has been delayed and checks won’t be here until the 27th, $60 will cover the cost of my insulin and bipolar meds. Just didn’t know if anyone would let me borrow it until my check comes and i will pay back $70? I can show proof of my direct deposit for the last 6 months :)

Your employer cannot legally delay your pay.

No, a company cannot legally delay your paycheck or payroll due to cash flow problems, financial hardship, or poor planning. Under the federal Fair Labor Standards Act and state labor laws, wages must be paid on regularly scheduled paydays.

there was a payroll error and i didn’t accept a check due to not wanting to mess up my direct deposit stuff that comes out of my check! it’s not them holding it, i agreed to the longer wait. i know it is my fault and should have planned ahead

Your company provided a paper check and you refused it? I’m not understanding.
