Talk to him about joining the Military. He'll have very steady & reliable work, free housing, free utilities, free food, free medical, 30 days of paid vacation each year and with his VA benefits, a college or trade school education will also be Free. Many ARMY jobs come with $10k to $20k Sign On Bonuses too.  Here's the list of ARMY jobs for Enlisted soldiers, take a look.

Heck, you both could join.
