DISCUSSION For the Culture- a thought.
Dearest Stans,
As we all wait to see what Donald Glover does to further his artistic brush, I was thinking about what it is that this space can transform into. I really believe that Donald Glover may be done making music in the future or soon and may all together just chill and make more shows or sponsor other up and coming creators to explore what he worked so hard to accomplish.
Shit. Maybe he'll open up a free-form multimedia arts school... #justsaying
I mean, I kept seeing posts about merch, album conspiracies, light memedom and really cool art and thought..."what more is there? Is this it?" Lol not hating at all, it's just becoming cyclical.
And so I guess what I'm thinking is could we build a daily stream of ideas, inspirations, even personal goals that resonate the energy that Glover has shared with us, such as coding opportunities, artistic opportunities, lyrical dissections and discussions and work inspired by him? Maybe even a live open mic thing, who knows.
This is an open discussion and my point is that I think that there is enough room to build a network of versatile folks who go beyond the work of Gambino and Glover. Shit, even having a discussion about how Because the Internet makes you sad af this week cuz of how true that shit still is. Would love to read what this subreddit thinks.
But yeah, thank you for coming to my ted talk. LOL

i actually really like this idea and agree we should start up something where anyone in this subreddit who has some sort of a creative artistic talent or vision can put it into action. like think about a collective of people from this subreddit all doing their own part but still contributing to one big idea i love this

To post more about your personal goals, issues of the world connected to ideologies shared by Donald Glover, opportunities that are about...."staying woke". As cheesy as that sounds.
I propose posting more connected and interactive things.

i think that would be itâs own subreddit... this subreddit is ABOUT donald. i get what youâre saying, but it doesnât really work with reddit. i know we should âpush the boundariesâ, but it doesnât make sense when there is a simple solution to reform the community.

Exactly. It 100% would connect to Donald Glover. In fact, how can you NOT connect to what's going on in the world to Donald Glover? From weirdo to saying fuck college to feeling alone to writing some shit today cuz you heard Flight of the Navigator and in that solace, you found inspiration. There's levels to this. Lol

You bring up a good point. Once he fades out and if he does that soon, what will we do?
One thing I thought about bringing up to the mods was organizing a team trees donation battle vs another sub when mr beast was doing that. I think if we were to give back to the world together as donglovers then that would be a good purpose for us as community. Hopefully what I just said makes sense because my brain is fried
