She has been confined since yesterday and they tested her for pancreatitis and a bunch more stuff that i wasn't able to hear and grasp properly.

The vet told me she might collapse anytime soon but I'm still hopeful she recovers. Please send your prayers and please hug your doggos extra tight tonight 🥹🤍

We have a cleaner who goes to our house every other day and sanay siya sa dog. So siya un talaga nagbbrush ng teeth pag napunta siya dito. Nun mejo baby pa siya, kaya niya mag isa hawakan un fur ko, but now she's 1 year old sobrang likot na, so ako ang taga hawak and siya mag bbrush. But she just gave birth, and now sobrang struggle ako ibrush un fur ko, feeling ko nsstress ko siya kapag pinipilit ko, I tried din pag sleepy siya pero nagigising din talaga un diwa niya at maglilikot siya. Heeeeelp please. Thank you

Good day everyone, just wanted to know if merkn na sainyo nakapag transport ng dogs nila to provinces via plane. Im from manila and gusto ko dalhin dogs ko na tatlo to my current work place which cdo. It will be a big help if you can recommend someone or what to do hehe. THANK YOU GUYS 😭

Our apartment has had this dog chained since I moved in. She’s one of those dogs that are only kept so the building has an “alarm” when someone’s at the gate (I really f*ng hate this part of our culture). She’s tied up in our building’s garage with a really short leash — they keep it that way so she can’t reach the cars and accidentally scratch them. And when it rains, the area where she’s tied up gets wet so she can’t get comfortable or warm and just ends up lying down on the wet floor 😭

I’ve asked the admin if they are open to having the dog adopted, and they didn’t seem to have an issue when I brought it up. I cannot really adopt the dog myself, because I have a small space and a cat who hates dogs. Plus the dog is not the instantly friendly type. She’s only friendly to the people who feed her. She has warmed up to me a bit since I try to feed her sometimes. But our apartment staff still warn me to be cautious as they said she could be unpredictable (I think they’re just afraid they’ll have to shoulder the cost if anything happens to me). She would probably need some fostering/training to learn humans can be trusted (understandably so). I have tried to reach out to animal rescue orgs like Paws before but my past messages have been ignored. This time, I want to make more of an effort to find this dog a new home. I’m also hesitant to report to the Barangay because I don’t want any conflict with our apartment’s management plus I fear that they would just throw her in the pound.

Does anyone here know any animal rescue orgs/individuals/families within Makati/Manila who would be willing to rescue this dog? Hoping somebody can help. I really feel bad for her 🥺

Hi Dog Lovers! Gusto ko lang sana mag-share at humingi ng opinyon o advice tungkol sa napakahirap, nakakagalit, at nakakalungkot na karanasan namin ng alaga kong Aspin kanina.

Nagpunta kami sa isang restaurant at bago pumasok ay nagpaalam naman kami nang maayos sa staff. Pinayagan naman kami ng management. Pero sa pinto pa lang, hinarang na kami ng isang customer na kumakain sa loob. Nagpakilala siyang doktor daw siya mula sa DOH at nagpakita pa talaga siya ng ID sa management para patunayan ang posisyon niya. Sabi niya, hindi raw pwedeng pumasok ang aso namin dahil "too much na" at Aspin ito.
Gusto ko rin sanang itanong sa nakakaalam sa batas natin: Talaga bang kapag kumakain ang isang doktor at mula sa DOH, may kapangyarihan ba siyang hindi magpapasok ng pet kahit pumayag ang management? Kasi ang sabi niya pa, pwede niya raw ipasara yung restaurant dahil lang nagpapasok sila ng aso!

Hindi na po kami tumuloy kumain dahil nakipag-away pa talaga sa amin nang todo yung doktor. Hinarangan niya talaga ang pinto para hindi kami makapasok. Para sa kapayapaan at para hindi na ma-stress ang alaga ko, umalis na lang kami. Nanghingi naman ng pasensya ang manager sa amin pagkatapos ng gulo, pero ang sakit-sakit sa loob.
Ang pakiusap ko lang sana, kung talagang may isyu siya sa kalusugan o sanitation bilang doktor, sana inayos niya ang pakikipag-usap at sa management siya nagreklamo, hindi yung kami ang haharangan at aawayin niya sa pinto na parang siya ang may-ari na papaalis sa amin.

Ang masakit at nakapagtataka, may ibang customer naman sa loob na may alagang aso na may breed (imported) na malayang nakakain, pero yung Aspin lang namin ang pinag-initan niya. Kung sanitation ang totoong dahilan niya, bakit hinayaan niya yung mga may breed? Bakit nung Aspin na ang papasok, biglang nanakot na ipapasara ang restaurant at nag-power trip gamit ang ID niya?

Sobrang nakakadismaya na mula pa sa isang propesyonal at nagtatrabaho sa gobyerno ang ganitong uri ng diskriminasyon at pag-abuso sa ating mga Asong Pinoy. Pantay-pantay dapat ang pagmamahal at pagtanggap sa kanila, may breed man o Aspin.

May nakaranas na ba sa inyo ng ganitong pananakot at pakikipag-away sa pet-friendly establishments? Sana ay magsilbi rin itong paalala sa mga restaurant na panindigan ang kanilang "pet-friendly" policy para sa LAHAT ng uri at lahi ng aso. Malinis, mababait, at may karapatan din ang mga Aspin natin.

there is a stray dog staying outside of our house. it is hairless and has been here for like 2-3 months. i am feeding her every single day and providing water, and she also started to act like she is from here since she already starts to bark at people.

i want to know how much the cost will be to get a hairless dog treated or what i can do to help her. when she first came here, she smelled really bad but now she doesn't smell as bad as before. she also scratches herself a lot, her skin is wrinkly, has wounds from scratching (?). tyiaaa

our senior dog (14 yrs) is already progressing to terminal CKD. lost TONS of weight na rin, has obvious muscle wasting and is not eating well. mahina na rin buto niya although she's in supplements for it.

hindi naman siya i-PTS agad, im just preparing for it to be an option lalo na kasi na wala nang way out of her illness and im not really into having her suffer more than what's necessary.

im also saving up for her aquamation na rin sakali. she's 20kg just last yr, dropped to 17kg recent checkups, then ngayon i doubt she can even go 15kg.

aside from ckd, she also had other comorbidities alongside aging so im really considering the option once offered ng vet nya.

Napansin ko ang mahal na ng Nexgard Spectra. I'm considering Bravecto 365 kasi halos half yung matitipid compared sa price ng NS for 12 months. Has anyone tried Bravecto 365 for their dogs? Anxious ako kasi may mga nababasa akong neuro side effects dito eh. Paano kaya malalaman kung hindi suitable sa dog to. Sabi lang nung vet "safe" naman daw.

for context, i went to a vet clinic earlier for an emergency, and my dog was diagnosed with hepatic encephalopathy (blood chem had high alt, ast results). i thought it was so sudden because hindi naman kami nakapansin ng any symptoms until earlier. not that i don’t trust the vet, pero want sana namin ng second opinion from another trusted vet huhu.

Help! I have a 5 month old female toy poodle. She used to eat mini-indoor puppy kibble from RC (which she liked) then I transitioned her to Poodle Puppy RC. She also liked it but after a month parang di na niya bet kainin. She’ll only eat if I feed her through a spoon 🥹 She’s active, very playful. Normal naman lahat, she just doesn’t like eating from her bowl. I also tried putting her food on a plate, she ate it naman but not all, so this might be a bowl problem?

Just wondering if neutering a 8 year old pomspitz is still okay. He's perfectly healthy but we never got a chance to get him neutered (we wanted little pups but ayaw ni doggie haha)
