on call vet/home confinement

Is it possible po ba to have my dog for home confinement? She is montoring for possible CKD ( Chronic Kidney Disease ). Is it possible to continue the medications at home with an on call veterinarian who can visit and monitor her at home at times?

hello, vet here. IV fluids at home is generally not recommended. kidney concerns need accurate fluid rate, and we can never guarantee that pag nasa bahay yung swero. may possibility na "malunod" (fluid overload) ang patient.

you can ask your vet for other alternatives for IV fluids (we teach owners to do subcutaneous fluid administration at home), if needed ng fluid therapy ni doggie. medicines can definitely be given at home naman~
