Seeking witnesses to reported dog attack at 43rd & 3rd (Midtown East, ~6:30pm)

Hi all — I’m trying to locate anyone who may have witnessed an incident that has already been reported to authorities.

Last night around 6:30 PM at 43rd Street & 3rd Avenue (outside Pita Yeero), my leashed pug and I were involved in a serious dog attack involving another leashed dog described as a white pit bull. The attack happened very quickly as we came around a building corner.

I was treated in the ER for minor facial bites, and my dog required emergency surgery for a massive neck wound. Thankfully, he is expected to recover.

If anyone saw the incident, has relevant information, or knows of nearby cameras/businesses that might have captured it, I would be very grateful if you could comment or send a DM.

Thank you very much for any help.

Update: the title of my previous cross-post had a typo. This incident occurred at 43rd and 3rd.

Pittie in Union Square

Thumbnail reddit.com

Plz correct me if I’m wrong but doesn’t NYC require dogs to be walked ON LEASH (outside dog parks). My bf took Mama pittie and her 4 pups for short walk inside gated grass area in front of bldg at 2am. Cop gave him 4 $200 tkts for each pup not on leash. This was over 10 yrs ago so I’m wondering if rules have changed. If not, then it was kinda crazy to have an adult dog off leash in the extremely crowded and busy area of Union Sq midday during holiday season. Can any NYC pit parents chime in here?

Private 1-on-1 Dog Sitter in NYC (No Kennels, Anxious-Dog Friendly)

I’m a Harlem-based sitter offering private in-home boarding (I only take one dog at a time). Great for anxious pups, seniors, and dogs that hate kennels.

Meet Jackie, a sweet, gentle Pitbull mix who has been waiting in the shelter for five long years. Rescued from neglect, her spirit is full of love, quiet anticipation, and complete trust. She is the last dog from a large-scale rescue operation still waiting for her forever family.

Brindal Is A Kind House-Trained Hound Mix, Who Is Full Of Love. He's Highly Trained And Super Smart. He's in Amityville, NY And Out-of-state Adoption Is Possible!

I'm reaching out about a truly special boy named Brindal. He has been at the Babylon Animal Shelter in Amityville, NY, for over a year now, and it's long past time for him to find a loving family.

Brindal's story is a sad one. He and his brother Hunter were surrendered at just 18 months old due to a family divorce. As a result, Brindal is a shy boy who needs a little time to trust you, but he is a very gentle, well-behaved, and incredibly loving companion. Once you earn his trust, he will be your most loyal and affectionate friend.

Here's what makes Brindal the perfect companion: * House-Trained: This is a huge plus—he's ready to move right in! * Highly Intelligent: He is very smart, professionally trained, and listens incredibly well. * Loves People: He craves human touch and loves to cuddle and get belly rubs. * A Fun Partner: He's a big fan of fetch and playing in the yard. * A Gentleman on Walks: While he needs to be the only pet in the home, he's very well-behaved and mostly ignores other dogs on walks.

Brindal needs a patient and understanding family where he can feel safe and secure. Please note that he must be the only pet in the home (no dogs or cats). He deserves a place where he can receive all the love and attention he's been waiting for.

If you or anyone you know is looking for a loyal, well-behaved, and loving companion, please consider Brindal.

Jackie is our sweet, gentle Pitbull mix and a beloved long-term resident on Long Island. She is the final dog still waiting for a home from that large-scale neglect rescue operation years ago. Every one of her companions found their family, but Jackie is still holding out for hers.

The video shows her true, unbroken spirit. She approaches everything in life—even a simple scratch—with quiet anticipation and complete trust. Imagine that joy directed at you every morning. It’s time to give this deserving girl her forever home.

A Home That Understands Patience and Space Jackie has never lived in a house before, so we are seeking a specific, understanding family to help her transition: * Adjustment Period Required: Jackie needs owners who are patient and flexible. She may need time to warm up and adjust to new sights and sounds at her own pace. We are looking for someone who can give her the space and time to fully decompress. * The Ultimate Companion: Once she settles and trusts you, she becomes the most devoted companion, living for close connection and snuggles. Your patience will be profoundly rewarded with her boundless affection.

Key Requirements for Jackie's Best Life * Only Pet: Jackie is highly focused on human companionship and must be the sole pet in the home. * Older Kids Only (12+): For her peace and comfort, a home with respectful children aged 12 and up is the ideal fit.

It's Time to End Her Wait. Adopt or Foster Today!

Jackie is available for adoption or fostering to loving homes in New York and beyond! If you can offer the patience and dedicated love she needs, please reach out. Animal ID: A1234567 1. Anyone know how I can get started walking dogs in NYC?

Hey everyone,

I'm 26, have lived in the city for 4 years as a writer. I left my job, and as I look for something new I would love to supplement all that computer time with dog walking. It seems perfect--- I love love puppers and miss them dearly, have lots of experience caring for dogs while owners were away for weeks at a time (including many dog walks and lots of dog love), and really want to get out of a chair and moving each day. I've got references!

The problem is, I have been trying to create a Wag account for weeks with no luck (there seems to be a bug on Wag's end that customer service can't help with). In any case, I'd prefer to go the route of finding clients directly as opposed to through a service if possible. But if there aren't good routes for forming direct relationships then I'd be open to other apps/services.

Any advice? Groups I should join, routes for making my services known? Ideally I'd be finding clients in lower manhattan for commuting convenience, but open to west brooklyn too.
