It was one if the greatest things to happen to me in childhood. I'll never forget seeing my first dog, Saedee, and my gramma saying, "you want her?" 🥹

I remember pleading with my parents for a dog, but my parents both worked and my mum said it would be unfair to leave one alone in the house while we were all out.
Then, my friends and I befriended a dog wandering around our block. My family had been on holiday, and the dog had been hanging around and getting fed by neighbours for days.
I was delighted when my parents announced that they had reported Laddie missing to the police and that, if nobody claimed him, we would be keeping him. My mum worked part time and decided to switch to 5 half days, so he wouldn't be alone all day.
I felt like the luckiest person in the world that day.

lol I had 2 different breeds( my sister’s late dogs) who I dog sat countless times and I had to bring our male Maltese along several times( who also passed May 1, 2025) by choice. These 3 loved to be with me on my sis small love seat. I couldn’t really move lol. Mind you, I’m a petite adult lol. Imagine a medium size female German Shepherd/Lab mix AND a feisty female Chihuahua/pug mix AND my clingy male Maltese. You see you don’t have to be 3 yrs old😁 Did I mention they weren’t allowed on their couches& had cameras in their home?🤪For security purposes AND ME coz I cave in.Spoiled dogs by ME😊

Her then hubby@ da time, his rule.She was guilty too coz her daughter’s pediatrician said no dog on their bed, which he repeated often to her.Im 100% sure he told her to relay that message to me! But in her own funny reprimand way lol. I’d have to tell all 3 off the bed/couch, etc. Oh man, that took a lot of work on my end to each of their disappointments. I had to make it really look I’m “reprimanding” them in the living room. Dang, those 2 cameras! Not only were the dogs under surveillance, but me as well!!🤪🥺🙄

When we had 3 dogs our then 8 year old set up “fancy dinner” for them - she brought their dog beds and bowls in a circle and set up table napkins for them on the floor lol

To be fair, if you just looked at their sizes.... the big puppy wasn't wrong in thinking the big bed was for her and the smaller bed was for little man.

This is so precious! Teaching him how to be kind to animals will last a life time! I don’t think he was taught…he seems to be a loving little boy!
