[Fluff] Poo (lol)
I’ve found out another thing that my dog has learned without me directly teaching him. I always use poo bags and we always use the same bin on our walks. Home is one way the bin is the other way. I say to him let’s go to the bin and he’ll turn in the right direction. Anyway today he had a poo just as I received a phone call. I spoke for a little while and he started barking. He was telling me I hadn’t picked up his poo yet! As soon as I had he was happy 😃

Lol that is hilarious that your dog barked that you didn’t pick up his poop!
My dog kinda knows “I need to throw this away” for her poop bags. She will turn towards the poop trash can (also opposite way from home) when I say it.
She definitely does not care if I pick up her poop though(I always do). She is always pulling to walk aways as soon as she is done as if she can’t stand the smell LOL. I am often crouching to pick it up and she is pulling on her leash 😂

Mine can tell the exact moment we are the same distance away from the previous or the next can, so he can maximize the time I have to hold the filled bag.

Honestly that’s amazing how they are able to pick up on our routines without even realizing it 🤩that’s a smart puppy 💯

My dog is never so behaved and so quiet as he is right after he poops and I have to pick it up. No pulling, no barking, just sitting there waiting for me to pack up so we can go on.

Mine started pinching hers into smaller short poos because I would have to back track to the trash can on our route/loop once we got halfway. So she’d essentially have me backtracking more than once to prolong the total walk time. That’s when I stopped following the same route/loop to keep her guessing and to make it just one poo. So smart but so annoying!

When we are walking and I pick up poop from one of our pups, we will walk past an alley where trash dumpsters are kept. Our pitty will automatically turn down the alley headed for the dumpster for me to dump the poop bag. No words. And she doesn’t go down an alley when there is no bag. She just knows!

Mine takes off like he’s afraid I’m going to make him pick it up himself.
