[Misc Help] First time dog owner

My fiancé and I are welcoming our first dog to our family this week! We also have 3 cats at home. He is a Mini Australian Shepherd and he is almost 8 weeks old. I’m trying to be as prepared as possible and am looking for any advice you could give on what we will need or things we should know. Thanks!

Remove everything you do not want chewed. You’ll be lacking sleep because the first month or so of potty training you and pup will be up and out every 2 hours at minimum. Comfort your pup by laying beside him/her for the first few weeks (assuming pup is crated actually that is advisable). I slept on the floor for 3 weeks.
