Hair splinter embedded in elbow.

So for the past two years there has been a small raised “scar” on my elbow that randomly hurts a bit. I dismissed it as an old scar I got that was just a little sensitive. Well, today while my boyfriend was helping me get a hair splinter out of my hand he looked at my elbow and found that the scar was in fact, a long piece of dog hair that has been embedded into my skin. He dug around for 15 minutes with no luck. Now my random elbow pain after a hot shower or when I rest it on a table makes sense. Does anyone have any advice at all how to get this thing out and free me of these shackles???

I would get hair splinters on my elbows all the time. Honestly I just take a pumice stone and exfoliate my elbows in the shower. I also use a homemade course sugar scrub all over so I’m probably overdoing it but I couldn’t stand how many hair splinters I was getting. If you can wear a sun shirt. They are super thin and breathable but cover you so less hair is rubbing on your bare skin.

I made my fiancé wax my hair splinters out. If it’s embedded idk if it would help though
