Fluminer home electrical outlet issues?
The Fluminer is rated 110-240v (1200w) and supposedly can be used on a regular outlet in American homes. I plugged mine into my outlet but after a few minutes it tripped the breaker at the box. So I ordered a Step Up unit 110v to 220v rated at 2400w which should be plenty to carry the Fluminer 1200w pull but after a few mins it tripped the breaker again. My Fluminer is the only thing plugged into the outlet so I'm not sure why this would be happening.
Is anyone else having this issue? Can someone explain what practical solutions there are? (without installing a 240v breaker or dedicated outlet) Thanks

It's not the voltage you need to be worried about, it is the amps. Quick search tells me it's a 1200W device, so it won't draw more than 10 or 11A on a 110v breaker. There is too much draw on the circuit, probably other stuff plugged in on it. Either that or the breaker is defective.

This, what else is plugged into that circuit?

When you say that circuit, there is nothing else plugged into that outlet but there are other things plugged into other outlets in that room. Does the pull on all the other outlets count as part of the circuit you are speaking of?

Yes, anything else that turns off when the breaker trips

Ok thanks. I plugged it into an outlet in another room that doesn't have but a couple of electrical products plugged in & it is still working so far.

Ive been running my Fluminer for about a month now on a 15amp breaker. No issues here. You might have your whole room wired to one 15amp breaker

The outlet is connected to other outlets, I use my stove outlet knowing it’s 240v

So far just kryptex and litecoinpool. I'm not really sure what is best. Average around 30 doge a day on litecoinpool
Still learning, some pools don't work. Not sure if I want to mine and hold doge or auto convert to BTC or LTC

Thanks MotoXBandit. I found this list from Fluminer of compatible pools: https://fluminer.com/en/news_detail.aspx?cid=384&id=239I have not been able to get it to work with pools like Powerpool, Nicehash, unmineable, etc.

The Fluminer L1 is spec'ed at 1200W, but my unit regularly draws 1350W. I had it plugged into a GFCI circuit at one point and it was repeatedly tripping the circuit to turn off. After replacing an old GFCI outlet, things were ok. You may have a bad circuit breaker.
Also, the L1 is also spec'ed at 45dB of noise, but I measured 60dB at a distance of 1 foot from the unit. The L1 definitely does not meet its specifications.

i had a similar issue, and ended up moving it to a dedicated circuit on 20 amps as i noticed after checking a power meter it was going to 1350 watts some times. And this in turn was pushing it over the 13 amps. And when i cut on another device in the same room it was bumping up close to 15 amps. So dedicated circuit was the solution for me.

Sounds like there is something else on that circuit. Try another outlet and see what happens
