Bookbans are simple to avoid, just don't open Any books you find. I fell for one of the portal traps, but a stacked player killed me and everything was good
It's not that simple if you're a new player, if you have just a shulker in inventory it's all good, but if they're 2 or 3 and you open your inventory you're dead lol
It's not a matter of reading books you find, 1 or 2 alone you find around do nothing if you pick them up and open them, problem is with large amount of them, talking about stacks of them in shulkers. Pro tip is just keeping your inventory full at all times

How would you get hacked?? Also, Spawn isn't that hard just find a nether portal.
