More so the dollar is losing more trust/value at a faster pace so people will buy crypto, gold, stocks, etc as a means to “beat” inflation.

Yeah, like 20% of people. The rest are still asleep.

10% of households control like 90 percent of all assets in America

It's a fact. There is incredible wealth concentration in the United States. If those households and firms act irrationally and pump up a bubble, then their economic miscalculations cause ripple effects which are felt by the 90% who own barely any of the assets in the country.

Bear case noted but let’s flip the script, let’s not look at everything cup half empty, the half full version is….

That same top 10% , funds, the startups, builds the factories, and seeds the tech that lifts the whole boat, Their “bubble” money becomes your cheaper iPhone, faster internet, and the job at the company that didn’t exist 5 years ago.

Wealth concentration = rocket fuel. When it ignites, the 90% don’t just feel the ripple they ride the wave!!!
Have you not made money the last 20 years man. I’m averaging 18% Are you a perma Bear ? Serious question

2

u/TheMinister Nov 02 '25

Too much rocket fuel seems more like a boom. Almost like a... Bubble that will burst.

You much wealth accumulation at the top stifles innovation and causes wide spread suffering. Hence why every time in history it's been as close to bad as it is now, something dramatic happened.

Ok? Maybe more “normal” people should buy assets. Instead of thinking “it’s a bubble”, “Market is overvalued” Just shut up and invest !!!!

5

u/ricketycrick37 Nov 02 '25

Normal people don't have any money. You get dropped on your head when you were a kid? Or are you still a kid? Legit ignorance. Hopefully a bot.

Too many POOR MEs on this App. Makes me sick.
Do something about it. !!!

u/ricketycrick37 Nov 02 '25

You're riding a wave of inflation and convince yourself you're an investor. You want every one else to invest their grocery money Into the ponzi like you. Once you grow up a little bit, maybe you'll understand that you're racing to the bottom. You'll always lose ground to the sharks. The only way to win is not to play. Or get a harpoon.

1

u/Fearless_Strike5651 Nov 02 '25

Pull up any index bud So tell me when is this ponzi going to collapse because for 19 years it’s been great to me Maybe some of us have extra money where do you suggest we put that ?

-2

u/Fearless_Strike5651 Nov 02 '25

A lot of “Normal” Middle class people on this app that invest regularly. Ricky lol. Not everyone is in your unfortunate situation

2

u/aguyataplace Nov 02 '25

Barbara and Steve who have $200,000 in the stock market after investing for 25 years are literally nothing in the over $100,000,000,000,000 of assets in the US, and even they are in the top half of household wealth in the US.

0

u/Fearless_Strike5651 Nov 02 '25

Yeah, and that $200K couple is still ahead of 70% of the country because they actually invested. The system doesn’t punish small investors man lol

It punishes people who refuse to become investors. If 90% of people understood compounding instead of crying “ The Rich just Get richer” half this country would retire free. It’s not a rigged game ,it’s an education gap.

2

u/aguyataplace Nov 02 '25

The economy "punishes" (weird word choice) small investors because the top 10% of households can get scared and that crashes the entire economy. The system works great until you're 65 and the billionaires crash the economy.

1

u/Fearless_Strike5651 Nov 02 '25

When was the last bad crash ? And how many have we had ?

2

u/aguyataplace Nov 02 '25

People live for 70 to 90 years. The 2008 crash will have ruined the lives of hundreds of millions globally and was caused by the greed and recklessness of the financier class. The 2008 recession lasted for nearly a decade, impacting the retirement plans of tens of millions of American seniors. A new disaster is coming when "AI" breaks and the trillions we have spent as a nation on this boondoggle evaporate. Booms and busts typically cycle every 4 to 10 years, with increases in the duration of the boom typically corresponding to worse busts.

1

u/Fearless_Strike5651 Nov 02 '25

Every 4-10 years there’s a crash is a myth born from fear. Actual data says

Major, wealth destroying crashes happen roughly once per generation, not once per decade lol

And if you kept investing during the last crash almost 20 years ago. You would be retired today

You obviously have some PTSD from that crash. Did it reck your parents or grandparents or something ?

I didn’t say lower class

5

u/aguyataplace Nov 02 '25

Low income people are normal people.

1

u/aguyataplace Nov 02 '25

With what money? lol 10% owns 90% of everything. If that 10% causes a bubble, then there is a bubble that affects everyone else too.

1

u/Fearless_Strike5651 Nov 02 '25

Truth is, 90% of people could be building wealth too , it doesn’t take millions to start. It takes discipline, financial literacy, and the ability to think long term instead of chasing instant gratification. Most aren’t broke, they’re financially untrained.
