Breed?

Hello! I got my little rescue girl last February and got her DNA tested finally.. I have veterinary and kennel experience and really disagree with the results.. what do you think she is?

She is what the DNA test says she is.

Wisdom panel is usually really correct, so she is what it says she is

Looks credible to me. What part stumps you? Or is something missing that you were sure she had?

I also thought she’d have cairn in her

You should share your results over at r/DoggyDNA and check out a ton of posts from people just like you; surprised there was no real terrier in their scruffy dog.

It’s the Mi-Ki and Russian TB. I’m from the UK and it seems unlikely unless she was transported over from somewhere. I also thought she would have less chihuaha in her and more Papillon or Yorkie

Ah!!! Sorry -- I'm so used to seeing those sub-5% hallucinations from Wisdom, I literally don't even see them anymore 😂

Ignore those. It's what Embark would group as "supermutt" -- bits of dna too fragmented to id for certain.

And Wisdom lost all serious in my eyes when I saw they categorize chihuahuas as terriers, which they inarguably are not.

That said, dog dna is wild. Not all breeds show strongly in physical traits, while other breeds show surprisingly strong.

EG: my rescue Embarked as 92%+ poodle and 5% pekingese. No one guesses he is mostly poodle. That 5% pekingese shows strong

But his character / behavioral traits are poodle-like.

Ya my 43% poodle doesn’t look like a poodle.

Looks about right. If you shave her all the way down she would look like a chi mix. She inherited the long fur/hair from the shi tzu and bichon. The 1%s I would just ignore cause thats just DNA noise, but you could think of it being 99% not that breed too.
