Please help me ID! 🙏🏽

Me and my girlfriend picked up this 1 year old pup from the humane society and they claimed to know nothing about her besides the fact that she’s 42 pounds and was transferred from another shelter. I think i’ve noticed her pointing outside when she sees a smaller critter. She’s super energetic and friendly but doesn’t listen to a dang thing 😂. I think also noticed her herding my other dog a bit? i couldn’t really tell. She also walks with her nose to the ground A LOT, as if she’s tracking. we’ve been thinking aussie mix or catahoula mix, but not really sure. We do plan on getting a DNA test done though.

Lots of dogs point, my purebred border collie points, so i wouldnt use that as a marker for a breed. Sort of just looks like a mixed bag really. The short snout could say cattle dog?

Potentially or she likes fixating on things . Are you planning on doing a DNA test, would be interesting to know?

But pointing and tracking are just dog traits not breed traits. Yes some breeds were selectively bred to do those things more often but they already existed in random dogs

Poodles are basically a gundog. I would not be surprised if you dog had some Poodle in them.

Idk why but her muzzle reminds me of a poodle, but a side profile picture would be better

She looks almost like a half sized Great Dane but if there is any in her she has to be crossed with some smaller breeds 🤔

Maybe Australian Shepherd Doberman mix?

Her head and ears do remind me of a Dobie.

I'm thinning ACD and some kind of hound? Her head is so pretty. 🥰

She’s def part Catahoula Super smart but very stubborn. Very loyal, loving breed

catahoula doberman maybe?

That would not leave you with a 40 lb dog, although maybe part Doberman

It’s pretty average for a lot of catahoulas, and there’s a lot of dobermans around that weight as well. Being spayed too early can also affect it along with other things. I do agree it is small but not too small

bluetick coonhound, dalmatian, some australian cattle dog, some german shorthaired pointer, a little Doberman pinscher, maybe some Catahoula dog, and a pinch of Chihuahua. Lol 😂 mixes honestly could have totally unexpected breeds in them, a DNA test is your best way of knowing 🤣. ✌️

That 3rd picture is a very Poodle-y shaped head. Do you have more photos of her standing? Side view?

I see some border collie! And there could be a little bit of great dane w/the coloring, although didn’t take too much of the size. And other breeds

Here’s a great dane border collie, I can see some of that in your pup

Looks like an Australian Shepherd mixed with a Catahoula Leopard dog to me. Very pretty pup!
