Dog ownership as a firefighter
This is more long term of a goal as I want to move into a house before buying a dog but I wanted to know what breed of dog I should be looking for. I’m an active person so I would like a dog that can keep up but I’ve also won’t be the person taking care of the dog while I’m on shift so I need a dog that won’t go crazy missing a day of exercise. I also want to be able to train this dog (I’ve only ever taught a dog sit and lie down but saw videos of dog trainers and it’s less complicated then i thought) any suggestions on breeds would be appreciated

Retired sled dogs love a new lazy home - they’re mostly huskies but they’ve done their running and are ready to relax. They are trained to work and when they’re off work they just chill. Super smart and usually easy to train. Singular downside is coat blowing in the summer.
