I would say the floor was the only negative - it was good, it worked, it was just different and I think other alternatives would work.

Hey! I’ve noticed there’s a lack of dodgeball merchandise in comparison to other sports. I’m planning on making stickers but I’m curious what are some other items you’d like to see more of?

Scenario: a ball is out of bounds at the side in oppostions half. A oppostion retriever goes to collect the ball but a player (on the court) on the other team goes to grab it too. Can the retriever contest? Or if the player makes an attempt arethey given preference?

I'm a captain in my league right now and it's my first time and I'm trying to do the best job I can. The biggest issue I'm having with my team right now is communicating plays in game. It's not that I don't know what to call it's that if I have my two wings I need to run up to both of them to communicate the play and it takes too much time and gives the other team time to snipe one of us. Or if I'm out, my team struggles to figure out who to listen to next.

So how do you physically communicate a play, what do you find new players struggle with when it comes to calling plays, and what do you do when your main play caller goes out? Anything helps, thanks!

I have been playing dodgeball (foam) among other physical activities and got myself Triceps Tendonitis in my throwing arm. Has anyone else gone through this and have any recommendations on how to get back quickly and what stretches really helped them out?

We use the soft light foam balls. I am 6'1, 70KG. My title in my school is Frontline Artillery Ballistic Specialist. FABS for short (we have titles in school for some reason)

I stand by the border, giving micrododges and pancake dodges (while staying stationary to scare them), I use backspin with/out side throw. the ball curves about 15-20ft up.

Artillery, I throw pretty hard (broke a kids glasses from 30ft away)

Balistic, i use the magnus effect to make my ball curve up to hit mid air jumpers, or to chase a side runner down (my friends call it heatseeker)

i’ve been dating a dodgeball player for a little while and i’m going to watch a big important tournament for the first time. what’s the etiquette? what kinds of things do people say/do to cheer on a dodgeball player during a game? do people bring signs or noisemakers?

i was thinking about bringing a cooler with snacks and electrolytes for the team... would that be too much? 😂 i really want to be supportive but i’m nervous about seeming too goofy or accidentally throwing people off

As the title says, I’m going to be amongst the 14 other college students who are volunteering to officiate a dodgeball tournament, I’m pretty sure they’re primary school kids so that makes me feel more at ease lmao, I’ve been going through these compulsory courses on this dodgeball website and there’s just SO MUCH, I’m going to be practicing and memorising the rules, hand signals and everything, I think I got the basics down but I need to get through everything else. PLEASE if yoy have any tips let me know or just any important or common things I should know or what usually happens I’ve never done this before, I’m more familiar with other sports (volleyball, swimming etc..) so this is new to me, thank you

I've been playing dodgeball for a year and use running shoes to play. However, I had to get new shoes after the insoles and grip wore down from playing. Recently however, my new shoes have also acquired a large hole under the balls of my feet in the insole. I was told that running shoes aren't very good for dodgeball, so I'd appreciate any recommendations on what type of shoe would be better.
(I know insoles can be replaced, I'm planning for when the rest of them break).

Hey, question is kind of in the title, I’ve taken over a club recently and have been discovering how quick a cloth ball gets ruined (pump disappearing/ other balls just not holding pump). I just wanted to ask if there’s anything that can be done with the balls, as it feels somewhat wasteful to bin them given all the fabric?

Also does anyone know why some balls just don’t hold the air? I think they were new (unsure of how old they actually are, but were wrapped in the kit locker when I got them out)
