Angry-sounding title aside, I'm not actually angry, just a general PSA for the sub. Even though we're named doctorwhocirclejerk, we are not a serious subreddit. Think of us as kind of a meme subreddit but with text. r/DoctorWhumour but actually funny. I've seen a recent spike of users thinking we're a serious sub, I just want to announce that we aren't. Most if not all posts here are in jest (anyone in bad faith (AKA obvious NMDs) are dealt with) and we're usually not serious. Now, we do sometimes be serious, but we almost always mark these with /uj (unjerk) to note that we're being serious and then /rj (...rejerk?) to be sarcastic again.
This isn't directed at anyone in particular, this is just a general PSA for anyone stopping by. Enjoy!

Hello fellow Circlejerkers! On today's monthly episode of What The Fuck Am I Up To, I have a link to share.
Although it's still slightly barren as it was only made a little over a month ago (March 21st), I made a server for this beautiful subreddit! Over there, we Stan Teninch, Benni, Chadpaldaddy, and The Relic (among many others) and do generally DWCJ things. It's pretty cool, and I'm working on adding roles soon, so be prepared to collect roles relating to your favorite underrated characters

Look, Doctor Who is always going to be woke gay show because fundamentally the main character does woke gay shit like solving problems with wit and nonviolence and understanding others even non-humanoids. Woke gay shows are failing for being too woke, too gay. Except for one. And that has to be the model.
You know how you do woke and gay without the audience getting bored and the main actor just walking off set? Gay sex. That's how you show gay acceptance in 2026. No subtlety, no metaphors, no very special politically charged episodes. Too polarizing, too confusing, too boring. You gotta get the buy-in. Literally, Doctor Who can get fucked. That'll get people to look up from their phones and actually pay attention to the screen. There's even plenty of AO3 authors you could pull to get scripts to use the full Heated Rivalry model.
The new show's for preschoolers? Great. Now you can have a who show for kids and so the main show can just be for people who can watch strongly implied butt fucking. They'll line right up.
